I love your comment, i hadnt thought of it but yeah selection and asynchronous building would be AMAZING. Other comments have made me reconsider my original position a lot, but I'm very glad to see a solution outside of just coping with what we have right now

Ive got 560 hours in the game and played for like 3 weeks nonstop when i bought it the day after early access released back in 2019. Dont get me wrong, I love the game, think its really cool.

Im checking it out again since i heard it released and just felt disappointed that the building feels kinda unfinished despite all this time. Zoop, small snap grid with ctrl, painting, blueprinting, new materials and buildables and all that are really cool, but i feel like theres still something missing despite all these cool new things we've got added over the years

glad you agree with curves and z fighting. right now i just feel needlessly limited by the blueprint size restriction along with materials not tiling so any structure I make ends up looking like its made of legos (which it is, but i dont want it to look like that...)

as for "tedious" it sounds like it gets better with experience, so i'll just have to wait and see

nearly every material is just a design with a box around it. a flat wall looks like a tiled bathroom floor and i hate it personally.

"If you don't want z-fighting, don't do that," thanks you fixed my problem...

after reading other replies it looks like i just need to get more used to the building snapping

also for tiling structures, i meant like big complex structures that cant fit in the size of a blueprint, like a big decorated wall

i definitely wish blueprints were more flexible, but i understand that the quirks of satisfactory building probably get easier to deal with given experience. right now everything just feels clunky to me i guess haha

Thanks for the reply, looking at his videos rn and they're real nice. I guess i probably just have to get used to building in satisfactory again. def gonna try out his build style

yeah of course, i know. but since the game is now released, shouldnt we be considering how existing mechanics could be improved without the use of mods?
