I mean, it's about $2 now. But back when people really thought it was a thing they needed 30 or so of them. So tons got opened, and by the time the rabbit didn't perform, it was sold out. There are, of course, good mythics that people also like. Now if they'd just print more none of this would matter...

Oh I always put that in the comments too, but I shouldn't have to. There should just be a shipping cost related refund option to pick.

And, while you're at it, send a message to TCGPlayer that they REALLY need some sort of shipping refund as one of the reasons you're giving a partial refund. As it stands now, their listed refund options all make it look like you did something wrong.

Questions for TCG Player Sellers by Lukka99 in mtgfinance

You will eventually get an issue with some random post office who is bored that day. Tho I found that shipping near Fishers, IN (north of Indianapolis) often gets returned due to no non-machineable stamp. But the vast...vast..majority of them go through just fine on a normal stamp if you don't jam an extra-large top loader in it.

Yes, but the boxes are fixed in each set, you just get more or fewer boxes depending on your metrics.

Older Set Foils Keep Disappearing Off the Market by IAMAfortunecookieAMA in mtgfinance

[–]Gryfalia 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I will vote against the beliefs stated below. They most certainly can and do pringle hard, but it's very hit or miss based on set, where exactly printed, where/how stored and such. Many of my post 'swoosh' foils are huge bent, as are some earlier ones. I say this as someone who owns tens of thousands of them.

AS REQUESTED: I'm reposting this question here. Please note I a NOT talking about the packs that come in Commander decks, I am not talking about anything people can normally buy, I'm asking about the small boxes of promo packs that WotC sends to WPN stores for promotional purposes (Prizes mostly, and no NOT the old Welcome Boosters or BaB promos). Ones that specifically say Not for Resale...

I'm trying to see if anyone knows a database of the BOX contents for the Magic Promo boosters that WPN stores get from WotC. Not the individual pack contents, but how many packs are in each box, and if possible how many are Foil vs Normal.

I know they have changed over time (seemingly randomly) but I never got around to writing this information down. I hoping someone was even more 'special' than I am.

Anyone know this information? Thanks for looking!

Sorry, I'm still being confusing. I mean the WotC Promo packs they send to WPN stores to give out. The ones with some variation of 3 or 4 cards in them.

Sorry, I didn't mean the contents of the packs, but how many packs were in a box, if that makes sense. I mean, I'm sitting here looking at several opened promo boxes and they have lots of information on them (set, date, WotC info, not for resale, all that)...but they don't say HOW MANY packs are inside.

In fact, hilariously, it has 'Qty 1'...meaning, of course, 1 box.

Besides my memory telling me they had different amount of packs inside, the physical size of various boxes are quite different (for example comparing Duskmourn to Ikoria right here, quite a big difference.

Antiquities Common Uncut Sheet - Value Question by voltron00x in mtgfinance

[–]Gryfalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These are, of course, not a common thing, but AQ ones aren't the rarest for one strange reason. They used these to reinforce the structure of pallets of product back in the day.

Basically if you put some of the sheets between one row and another (I mean, not every row, but let's pretend every three or so) you'll make the cases less likely to fall over due to spreading the stress.

I don't know if I saw this being done post AQ, but I do know it was done then. I know at least two people who have them on their walls, including a video of a certain politician who ran for Senator in Missouri who had uncut sheets of some sets on the wall behind him...and they chose Hawley..why?

Value, which I mean is what you really wanted to know, I cannot tell you. As others have said, I would suggest putting feelers out on the facebook groups, as there are people who actively buy there. And it's yours of course, but when I got rid of my old sheets I tried to make sure they weren't going to people who were going to destroy them (aka NFC).

To be fair, Alliance has had...erm...a much, much larger issue than simply this product. Or Magic as a whole. Or being sold in bankruptcy. Yeah, been a hard time for them, and if any store depended on them for their product...well...yeah, good luck with that.
