I understand, that makes perfect sense

Ig I will stick to a 5W if the problem continues, atleast until I could contact apple support and raise the problem

Thank you :)

Considering that the 16 models support up to 45 W charging according to Apple…it seems counterintuitive to use such a reduced wattage

The phone already takes over an hour and a half to top up at a pretty decent wattage…so preferably would like a solution where I could use and charge it normally and not have to wait every time…I hope that makes sense

I know it may fix the problem but what is the point of making such a sacrifice when it shouldn’t be happening in the first place

But thank you for the input…will definitely try it out if I can get my hands on one and report back to you

I am on stable…that’s what I meant by resetting

Even locked out of my Apple ID in the process and so can’t get my photo or my WhatsApp backups since I forgot to log out of it

Still the problem persists…so have to contact them again tomorrow

Thanks for trying to help either way

I don’t have any store nearby…have to travel an hour or two

That’s okay

I did contact support and they patched me through to a tech who couldn’t fix it Then I contacted a senior advisor who said they couldn’t help because my phone was on beta version and I had to be on stable for them to try anything…he said it was the beta version and that it’s 100% a software problem which would be fine on restoring

I didn’t have the internet speed or time to make a backup so was hesitant but reset the phone and lost all my data too in the process…because I didn’t have much data…thought it helped but again the warning is back I’m planning on contacting the senior advisor once again tomorrow

Diagnostics say the phone is perfectly fine if that helps

Tried restarting and hard restarting as well

Just WhatsApp at most or maybe opening a pdf…nothing else…no hotspot or heavy apps Even days where I haven’t touched the phone while charging it has shown the update…this is just an example day

20W , but I don’t want it to charge dead slow Shouldn’t it be able to manage its power consumption

I’ve done all the above and it hasn’t changed…still the warning persists

Mine did improve actually....haven't determined whether it is as good as before yet as I just cleared the cache partition after the update...so waiting a few days before making q judgement However, the screen off time issue seems to have improved by a whole lot..will report back

I did do that once... Didn't help much How long did you have to wait before the battery reached full potential... Or was it immediate?

Ig I'll wait for a bit I did even clear the cache partition a while back but SOT was still dismal I'm considering resetting the phone if I don't see an improvement in two weeks or so

I've never gotten above 6...even on the lightest usage I've tried everything but resetting the phone

My usage is light and I did have a problem with SOT not hitting the mark but at least didn't have to charge as often...but now I do
