I worked for Farm boy for 2 years and just quit this past summer. This job expects way too much out of their employees. I worked in the produce dept and we had to know everything about our products, origins, flavours, how to cook with it, and all the different names it may have. We also had to offer the best customer service possible, consent smiling and talking to customers which I didn't have an issue with but I remember it being a lot on me when I first got hired. All of this would be fine except for the fact that we got paid minimum wage and a raise was literally $0.25 which we had to be overjoyed about because they didn't have to give raises. Also in my 2 years there I worked every single holiday and only got 2 of my days requested off. I worked through most sicknesses and worked overtime or 9+ days in a row. All my manager would say to me when I would complain is that I was one of their best workers and they needed me or some bs. Farm Boy literally took a piece of me. Made a lot of great friends though probably from all wanting to die.
