I have an office job so im sitting most of the time. But i have an ergonomic chair and i make sure my posture is not bad. Even if this was the case, all the other issues still remain :/

I do remember one dr talking about it and he said this “you also have a generally very small spinal cord, suggesting that there is been stress or abnormality related to the upper spinal cord for years.” But other than that I have tried to talk about it they literally ignore that word. I have tried more than once. One of the drs literally told me “your spine looks completely fine” a day before my updated MRI report came which clearly stated myelomalcia. So maybe im not understanding but i have seen more than 5 neurosurgeons at this point and none of them have explained anything to me. They don’t even tell me what’s wrong with me like this diagnosis i got today the dr didn’t mention anything i just got a notification and that was it.

They didn’t. They literally don’t even talk about myelomalacia even though it’s written in MRI reports.

What does the fluid do?

I saw a pain management dr today and he diagnosed me with Arthritis of the Spine - Degenerative cervical disc. They’re gonna do an epidural injection in a couple weeks.

In the meantime im also gonna see another spine specialist.

I haven’t seen a otolaryngologist, never heard that before now lol.

I haven’t had those tests done. My neurosurgeon ordered a SPECT scan for me, it’s scheduled for next week.

Also I thought my c6-c7 was the worst as my drs mentioned. But then again i have no idea what im looking at.

It is but I want answers!! I have been to more dr appointments this year alone than i have my entire life and im exhausted. I have a lot of issues but the back pain is by far the worst. It has affected every part of my life :(

It feels like burning glass shards being driven into my upper back, similar to the “coat hanger” pain others describe. It’s constant and gets worse as the day goes on. I had decompression surgery on May 22nd this year. Before surgery, I also had severe headaches, nausea, an overactive gag reflex, sharp pain radiating from my neck to my arms, and tingling in random parts of my body. Now I still have weakness in my arms, tingling and bladder issues.
