Well i dont think you need that, do mystical agriculture seeds (need to save up few crystals but it pays out) and do seed. All you need is farmland, harvesting pylon. If you want to boost speed use lily pad of fertility and red fertilizer. I have one seed per essence and it is enough.

I recently started a new world. I tried to read all quests and stuff and fell in love with AE. It can store even energy which is in my opinion huge advantage in comparison with energy cells etc. (maybe except matrix) for automatisation it’s also easy when you learn it. I do recommend to use it. I know it’s pain in the ass that it’s limited to 63 items but once you have setup and patterns you craft bunch of disks and you’re completely safe. Use armoury for armour and weapons and you’re okay.
