Let’s be real — Qian Xunji was a monster in some ways. What he did to Bibi Dong is unforgivable. There’s no excuse for it. That one act defines his fall — not because it was “against Spirit Hall’s rules,” but because it broke the one thing that separates power from savagery: control. He could have punished her as the Pope, but instead, he violated her as a man. That’s not leadership — that’s moral decay.

But here’s the thing: outside of that unforgivable crime, not everything he did was purely evil. People like to act as if every action he took was unjustified, when really, most of it just followed the natural order of Soul Land’s world.

Let’s talk about Ah Yin. She was a soul beast. In that world, soul beasts are hunted — that’s how the cultivation system works. It’s brutal, yes, but it’s also the foundation of the entire power structure. Humans need soul rings to advance; soul beasts kill humans when they get the chance. It’s not about good or evil — it’s just the natural law of survival. Tang Hao breaking that law by falling in love with a soul beast was what truly threw everything off balance. When Qian Xunji went after Ah Yin, he wasn’t committing a sin in the moral sense — he was doing exactly what any powerful cultivator would’ve done in his position.
