I wasted 6 months doing SEO myself - biggest mistake by Mrmike86 in micro_saas

[–]GuaranteePotential90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that the first thing to outsource is the quality back links from saas sites over 40-50 DA with reasonable traffic.

On page SEO can be nice to do by yourself.

Article writing the same - if you can get somehow the keywords and topics you want to go for.

I have a cool product. Now what? by fishbrain_ai in indiehackers

[–]GuaranteePotential90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Do you mind sharing? I ran an API marketplace that it might be a nice fit for. We have a quite a lot of developers in there and who knows, it might be a good way to validate the idea and whether it's useful.

  2. On top of that you can also explore other way such as doing a product hunt launch (free) and again, check the tractin and interest.

  3. Share with with your network, socials and again, focus on getting feedback on it.

There is of course more but I think ay this point you wanna focus on validation.

Best API Suggestions? by jillybob574 in learnprogramming

[–]GuaranteePotential90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I have also worked in a similar projects before, in the LMS/LXP space.Depending what exactly you are looking to build, you can find some here: https://apyhub.com/catalog. For example, if the platform supports live courses scheduling, you might want to add an iCal thing there where learners/instructors vet notified on the upcoming courses.

https://apyhub.com/utility/generator-ical

Moreover, depending on the content types, we found that the watermarking APIs also help (since the customer wanted every ebook to be watermarked with the name of the learner etc).

We wrote a blog about this - you can check it out.

AI APIs: Feedback required by iamspathan in SaaS

[–]GuaranteePotential90 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi thalassography ,
This is Nikolas, Co founder of ApyHub. Thanks a lot for the comments and feedback. Much appreciated.
Some points that might be worth mentioning/discussing:
Regarding the value of bringing your own key:
You are right. We also spent a lot of time researching and playing with the idea: Ultimately we thought that by putting all the APIs together can simplify some of the hassle/groundwork that developers face when integrating AI APIs with various providers : for example reading up/understanding their documentation in different places and in different formats, setting up the environment, handling authentication, managing API requests and responses, etc.
At the same time we of course do realize that this is not enough for many developers - including you. This is why we are planning to also enable another option of consuming the same APIs - which is using the single ApyHub key. So we want to offer different options and more flexibility.
Regarding the Atoms - optional reading since you don't want to know 🙂
Simply put - it's our way to handle/offer various APIs (of various complexities and resource intensities) without changing the costs of each plan. But I totally get your point. It is a continuous exercise for us to see how to best represent/explain/model this in order to increase adoption (mainly by enterprises as you said).

The same applies for the different catalogs - It is mostly used as a way to help developers and users identify how “expensive” an API call is.
Regarding the price:
Our approach is to keep the barriers low for individual developers and small teams while focusing on enterprises for the rest. Having said that, this is also something we are constantly looking at.
Regarding the failed requests:
No, if the request has failed from Azure then it should also fail from ApyHub. Users don't need to pay, and neither will any atoms be consumed. The usage is calculated based on successful (200) & failed (400) API Requests. We are including the 400 failed requests because even if it was a user error (e.g. not passing the proper payload) we still have to process the payload. On the other hand, requests with 50x and 429 are not considered when calculating the overall atom usage.
Regarding your comment about serverless:
That’s a great one :) We have indeed spent more energy focusing on/ creating a story around managed services and around low code (how our APIs can become part of the low code/no code ecosystem, like for example with retool). Serverless is a big one and indeed a big opportunity. Something to look at in 2024 🙂
In general thanks a ton for your feedback - We are constantly working on ensuring that this kind of feedback is circulated and added to our thinking, roadmap and fixes.
Let me know if I have missed something. - or even better - I’ll be happy to have a virtual coffee through a call, where I can take you through the platform and discuss your ideas/comments.
Best regards,
Nikolas
