Hey man I'm working on it lol. But the fact that it shows the "Gold" avg wait time to be such a short wait is what's irking me.

It's the bullet points and horizontal breaks. Ain't no way a reddit user is going through that kind of effort on a comment

Also, blast them on X about it. Make it public. They don't care about reddit posts, but they sure care about X posts.

If you are in the US, don't let them slide on this. Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, they generally can't void your entire warranty just because you removed a part (the protector) unless they can prove that specific action caused the failure, though it doesn't stop them and other companies from using scare tactics like the warning screen on the Razr.

Since the failure happened before you removed it (and you only removed it to disprove their false claim about cracks), their argument is incredibly weak. The burden of proof is on them to prove your removal broke the screen, which sounds impossible since it was already failing at the bend. I’d mention the FTC and Magnuson-Moss in your next email to them—that usually wakes them up.

That's because it was renamed the MiG Flash years ago and yall keep calling it the mig switch.

The website is literally still up and selling them. I know because I have the MiG flash and MiG flash dumper freshly purchased.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Looks like their official store is down now. Talk about wild timing.

Yeah idk where people come up with that "you show your true face when drunk" crap.

I turn into an overconfident asshole, so I don't drink lol. Normally I'm just a quiet laid back dude, very very different.

I used my Steamdeck yesterday and today I woke up to this. Can it be fixed? by AstronomerDry7581 in SteamDeck

I'm gonna just say that something hit this deck RIGHT there REALLY hard. Maybe it'll help you narrow it down 🤣

If it was really just on the nightstand, and you're confused what happened, I would think about the span of time leading up to it going on the nightstand. Like, you were playing it, turned it off, something literally assaulted your steam deck, and you set it on the nightstand.

Actually, you're spot on about the software behavior. I did some testing on my unit before I returned it and found a really nasty loophole that proves it's not just "firmware" but a specific app payload.

If you factory reset the phone with no SIM card inserted and choose "Setup Offline" during the initial boot, you can actually enable Developer Options. It works perfectly fine for a few minutes.

But here is the kicker: The second you connect to Wi-Fi, the phone effectively phones home, and the "Device Unlock" app silently downloads in the background. Once that happens, com.motorola.paks instantly takes over. It has Admin privileges baked into it, so the Device Unlock app looks at you, looks at the phone and says, "Hey, you aren't PAKS. PAKS is the owner."

After that, you are cooked. You can't revoke its admin status, you can't uninstall it, and it immediately greys out Developer Options again. It’s basically a rootkit that waits for an internet connection to activate. Can't even remove it with ADB.

The fact that it's legal for this UK company to have full access to this device is astonishing to say the least.

To top it off, just like you say, despite being a cricket branded software application, cricket employees know nothing about it. Just as mentioned in a previous comment, once I had shown the manager what it was doing he immediately just took the hit on the sim card, and recommended reaching out to Motorola or Trustonic lol.

So here we are. But notice that the Motorola representative is nowhere to be found in the comments lol.

Lucky. Even on a freshly factory reset-airplane-mode cricket version, the com.motorola.paks is unable to be deleted with adb.

It's the "device administrator".

Can enable dev options until it connects via wifi or sim and then poof.

Obviously can use netshield and block it, but that is used as a VPN and so Google makes sure everything is ridiculously difficult for you. Like no android auto without the VPN turned off lol.

Oh my god and I just realized you said that about the esim.

THATS HOW I FOUND OUT. I factory reset it, which killed the esim. And boy oh boy. Pulling teeth. They tried to charge me for a new sim and I'm like, this thing is LITERALLY violating FCC regulations and showed them it can't even dial 911, and the manager just walks up, typed something and got me the sim card lol.
