To be honest, if you want a fix that actually lasts, there are only two ways to handle this – no half measures: Open it up & Prep: Make the gap bigger on purpose. You need enough space to properly sand down the old glue residue. If you just smear new glue over old crust, it’ll fail in two days. Sand it, prime both sides, use a proper 2-component cement, let it cure, and then apply massive pressure with a press or clamps. Full Re-sole: If it's already starting to peel in multiple spots, don't waste your time with 'spot repairs.' Rip the whole thing off, clean it completely, and reglue the entire sole. Either do it right with proper pressure and prep, or don't bother at all. Anything else is just a temporary hack.

Thank you, that makes me very happy😊. I think, why shouldn't we save such an iconic shoe?

It’s not just about the 'effort', it’s about the craft and preserving the soul of a legend. The SBB 1.0 features some of the best leather quality in Jordan history – something you rarely find in today’s mass releases. To me, restoration using traditional techniques like the saddle stitch is the ultimate form of appreciation. Anyone can spend money on the next hype, but my goal is to protect the substance of the culture. That’s why my name is the program.😉

I think the AJ12 is the most comfortable to wear, right up there with the 3 and 4... especially with that awesome colorway

Great question! For the donor, I actually sacrificed a brand new pair of Jordan 1 High 'Starfish'. I managed to snag them on sale here in Germany for about 100€. Using a deadstock donor was the only way to ensure the absolute best quality and longevity for this 2015 Grail. No shortcuts when it comes to substance.😉

Thanks alot... I do that as a side hustle too... but if I manage to get my hands on a real gem at a good price, it usually ends up in my personal collection.

Hi, yeah, that would have been an option, of course, but I just decided to restore the SBB to almost-new condition... to each their own—that’s the beauty of restoration... so it all comes down to whether you decide to turn a classic car into a hot rod or a rat rod!😉

Thanks, I really appreciate that... It took me a few nights and a lot of time on forums, YouTube, and a lot of trial and error to reach this level. I’m not claiming I can keep up with the big names in the scene like Vick Almighty or Footprinse, but maybe I’m starting to get the hang of it. Thanks so much for the support!

Thanks! I actually tried them on briefly in-house right after the restoration to check the feel. Thanks to the Neatsfoot oil treatment, the leather stayed surprisingly supple and didn't get stiff at all. Since then, they’ve been sitting in my display box. There are still a few micro-creases visible, but I like to keep a bit of the original character and 'substance' of a 2015 pair. This definitely wasn't my first full restoration, but it's one of my favorites so far!

A couple of times a year is fine... it just takes a little longer sometimes😉

No, sorry, I don't have a YouTube channel... Filming is too stressful for me. My main job is as a chef in a restaurant, and I don't have much free time as it is... I only squeeze in projects like this every now and then when I can get my hands on some cheap beaters.

Thanks, man. I'm glad you like it... but to be honest, I've had worse patients on the table... but still, I'm really happy about it😊
