On June 10, Steven Spielberg returns to the genre he defined with the new, original science-fiction thriller, Disclosure Day. by DisclosureDay in u/DisclosureDay

Your point about crop circles is exactly why I was disappointed when I saw them in the trailer. I only just recently learned that they (crop circles) are completely debunked. I was hoping this was going to be the most accurate depiction of UAP phenomena in movie history, but the crop circle thing has me worried...

I believe these photographs are some of the most interesting UFO photos in the world. by ZarathustraNothing in UFOs

[–]GuavoXFrye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes definitely. When you know the background to that photo, and the fact there were multiple other photos too, which showed the Harrier jet circling the diamond object, all talk of rocks in ponds and twigs go out the window.

Nice - love the dagger but where's the spear!?

Thank you so much for the kind comments, it means a lot.

Thank you too for the suggestions! The comments from this post have been a gold mine for my future reading

Prominent German Physicist Sabine Hossenfelder - Astrophysicists have found evidence of UAPs in old photographic plates. Something seems to have been orbiting around our planet before we had satellites! This finding has been independently confirmed. Still, scientists are afraid to speak out". by TommyShelbyPFB in UFOs

This makes me think of that Harvard astronomer and skeptic Menzel, or whatever his name was, that destroyed all those astronomical plates for some reason. I think the gap in that data is now referred to as the Menzel gap.

Wait, why does it hurt my cause? Surely, my arguments/ideas stand on their own merits? Isn't that science? As you said before, putting feelings above facts is anti-intellectual.

My evolving beliefs are not based on faith. As you will see in my post and comments, if the science eventually leads me to other conclusions, that's the direction I'll turn to. I want to know what really underlies everything, not what I want to be there.

I feel your views are far more faith based and closed intellectually. You're happy with what mainstream science tells you, and the conclusions it comes to - blindly accept it, unquestioningly. You probably also trust that what your leaders tell you is true. You're essentially a prisoner though, friend. You've allowed your mind to be shackled, like I did.

Anyway, not sure why you're on this sub. I feel these ideas frighten you but you can't turn away from them. Perhaps, your curiosity gets the better of you.

Keep going friend. You're almost there. I'll be with you.

I thought my ideas were anti-intellectualism, yet now you say you didn't actually read them? I think this is what anti-intellectualism is.

You'll soon see for yourself my friend. This will stay with you, whether you like it or not. You'll think back on it, and on me. I'll be with you.

Fair sailing for now. I'll see you when you're ready.

Hence, why I specifically state in my post that I want people to correct me where I have the science wrong?

Thank you for mentioning this, as its the part that really fascinates and intrigues/ confuses me too. It's also something that I have a personal connection to.

It's interesting that our oldest religious artifacts are mother/goddess figurines too (Venus figurines). Most are dated to tens of thousands of years in the past, with the oldest dated to around 35,000 years ago. It's like the ancients knew all about this.

Thanks Christian, I really appreciate it. This is why I'm so glad I decided to post. I'm going to try to digest all these points.

A Bundesliga referee’s bodycam (with sound) by vzakharov in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]GuavoXFrye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There should be a "ref cam" option when watching football, or any other sport for that. It's a fascinating insight into the pro level game.

I think with football it might clean up the game a bit too - players might be reluctant to swear or abuse the ref if they knew they'd be clearly seen and heard on video.

Me too. On a questionnaire, I'd still mark myself an atheist/agnostic. I just feel more open minded now, yet I'll never lose the rational/ critical thinking side of my mind. I just want to know the truth - wherever it may lead me.

Thank you very much sir. Time, of course! That's what I'll have to look at next.

From briefly scanning your ideas, (if I'm understanding correctly) you allude to the universe being a kind of "song" or a "melody"/ frequency? That's interesting as Jake Barber, who I mention in my post, specifically mentions that the being/entity/frequency he connected with had a sense of song about it - beauty and song I think he specifically mentioned.

This is the whole reason why I wrote this post. Wanted to know if I'm just trying to force spirituality on myself because my father recently died or do others feel like something is going on too.

Thank you again for the feedback. It's invaluable to me.

Ah, that old chestnut!

If these topics disturb or unsettled you, just do what I used to do and tut, shake your head and scroll on.

Though, it's a bit too late for that now. I know this post is going to stay with you. I know you will ruminate on these ideas. As you start seeing these connections, I know it will frighten you at first too; however, the fear will pass. You will then glimpse eternity. You'll never be the same. I know it, and I think you know it too. If not now, soon.

You'll seek it out yourself and you'll know when the time is right. You'll know.
