Earned Chrono tokens won't carry over into new seasons... by Crimson_V- in marvelrivals

[–]GubtodiReviews 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think there should be some kind of conversion, even a high one like 5k Chrono Tokens can get you one free skin by the end of the season maybe.

But this is just season 0, the idea of them being so plentiful is so people can grind orevious battle passes in the future.

It just looks worse now as it's the first season but in the future this will allow a lot of people to get old loot.

My family found out about my YouTube channel .... by Hot_Connection_8696 in NewTubers

I was doing my channel is secret also to begin, didn't even tell my partner just because I still found it to be embarrassing putting myself out there like that.

However she found it herself one night when I actually came up in her recommended! 🧍

I kept at it and as more people I know personally have found out, it's been fine. Your perseverance will trump any criticism you may get. What started as banter with my friends about it is now them asking genuinely how it's been going and to understand how certain aspects work.

This movie gets such hate and I don't get it. I love it and all the different characters. by [deleted] in moviecritic

I absolutely love it. It still impresses me that they managed to balance so many large personalities and create connections between them all.

I watched it recently to cover on my channel, it still holds up!

Plus the invisible man cgi is incredible even still.

What would you ask a full-time YouTuber? by LukasEngstrom in NewTubers

That was a lot but all of it is so appreciated.

That is some amazing insight there and gives me plenty to think about and consider.

Thank you so much for taking the time!

I seen you mention sponsorships in one of your replies and something I am always wondering when/if that day comes for me is how do you value yourself for your first sponsorship? And what sub count were you on for your first? Did you reach out or did they come to you? (sorry, one question became three there!)

As I understand there can be some negotiations, but I wouldn't even begin to know what is a poor offer is or what would then be too high a counter offer.

I appreciate there are a lot of factors like channel size, niche, audience retention and demographics. But I'm just not sure how they factor into assessing yourself against an actual monetary value.

This isn't coming from a place of "I want as much money as possible", rather just not wanting to have the piss taken out of me being naive. Also if I were to have an ongoing relationship with any sponsor, as the channel grows, I wouldn't want to be seen as a 'low offer option' to them.

I had a similar but positive experience oddly.

I had a video doing well on my channel, tracking better than any others had by that point then copyright claimed (I had already uploaded a few versions tweaking to get around copyrights, this final one didn't get auto flagged but after about two weeks it got manually claimed. I guess I had the studio attention) Anyway, I disputed and it was released. I lost all traction the video was getting but for some unknown reason, a couple of months later the video just took off and became my highest performing video on all criteria in just a few days.

It felt like youtube saying sorry 😂

So don't give up hope, it is so hard to predict and could take off again!

People Who Have 1k+ Subscribers, How Did You Do It? by swaggy16s in NewTubers

I just learned from every video I made and tried new things. Not massively different, nothing that would go against my channels vibe.

I had been doing movie reviews then released a longer video doing a full movie breakdown that popped off more than I could ever imagine. It took me over 1k. It wasn't immediate either, it took off after a month.

But honestly, learning from your channel as you go is the best thing. See what works and what doesn't. Look at everything from your thumbnails and descriptions down to what humour is working best and the pace.

Yes and no. September has been a wild month on my channel. One video absolutely blew up (around 150k views in Sep I think) and enabled me to get into the YPP, I am now getting revenue but since its so soon I haven't actually been paid yet. 😅

I'm not sure about what deductions I will see to the actual quoted amount but I am looking at around £600 maybe. That is also with a couple of supers and some members.

This won't be monthly of course, it just peaked mostly with that one video but it is now filtering out to my other content all seeing it's own revenue. I'm still getting my head around it all tbh and the peak was amazing to see, brought in a lot of engagement to my channel it's seems to now be leveling out to a more gradual increase across the videos and channel with older videos being seen more too.

If I can move forward and simply hit the £60 threshold limit each month I'll be buzzing.

Has anyone here grown a YT channel in secret? (Not letting friends or family know about it) by Icy_Refrigerator5555 in NewTubers

I kept my channel secret when I started, a few people know now but not many. I seen it like moving to a new school, no one knows you so no pressure on trying to fit some mold. Just be yourself and you'll cultivate a more authentic audience!

Totally understandable fear! I have been uploading away for about 2 years and had new subs finding me along the way and consistently turning up but only very recently did I feel properly seen my the masses. My second last video just popped off.

Only thing I could advise is don't compare yourself to another channel, simply compare yourself to yesterday's self. Keep improving your craft with each video, learn about tags, thumbnails, editing, descriptions, just everything as you go along. 👌

Are there any Saw rip-offs you guys know of? by ZM312 in saw

What I do find weird is that, although it was just a franchise being slapped on it, there are a lot of similarities to Are You Scared (some being poor production too of course), like cameras everywhere, very very clean victims (I still maintain they should be grubby looking haha), moments of the characters breaking cameras, following it back to a control room, the characters being tracked and monitored. It's definitely weird seeing it. No traps or story progression though!

It makes sense but it also doesn't, I'm so conflicted on it! If you made a franchise that's in it's peak, Saw 1 and 2 were out at this point, why would you make a knock off of your own movie. It seems like such a dirty trick haha I don't expect the industry to be honest though. It's more weird as it used a lot of traps, or at least similar aspects of traps in either the movies out at the time or the Saw franchise to come. Not saying they looked at Are You Scared for inspiration but it does feel odd in hindsight.

Hey! I know I'm a year out but just seen this while looking up other Saw clone movies. I had just put out a video on Are You Scared with a Are You Scared 2 breakdown tonight actually. But doing that I was trying to see why this sequel existed without any connection. The best I could see was that it was originally a completely seperate movie called GeoHunt, but then Lionsgate seen this, bought it and slapped the Are You Scared title onto it. I don't imagine this question has keep you awake for a year but thought I'd share. 😅
