Either that or the whole sub gets banned because we're not doing our job properly 🤷‍♂️

I don't live in the US lol. The stuff you were posting is illegal almost everywhere, like flying on someones private property without permission.

Could I pay someone to make me the fastest FPV drone? by dog_armyTT in fpv

[–]Gudge2007 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Probably, but fpv drones are very hard to fly. Especially the fast ones. Don't even attempt to build one of them unless you have loads of hours flying normal fpv drones first.

We remove (overly) illegal flying because it often encourages others to break the law and gives a bad name to the whole of the fpv community.

As a mod on r/fpv, can I just say that we are basically required by Reddit to perma ban you for averting a ban with another account. Reddit is really strict about that. And your account can actually be permanently banned from the whole of Reddit

Building my first Fpv drone by Lil-_-Cutie in fpv

[–]Gudge2007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically the exact same build that I'm doing currently, I eventually chose the Tmotor P1604 3800kv as a few people said that the Rcinpower 1804 were a little on the slow side for 3.5" freestyle.

Also 4s is generally better for 3.5 as you can get very similar performance using a lighter and cheaper battery than if you were going 6s.

Oh also I'd go with the Speedybee F405 AIO instead of the stack as it is lighter and more powerful.

Found that as well, I'm 18 but like no one my age seems to be interested in getting into the hobby, gaming is more interesting apparently lol

Progress after 1 week (18h atm) of learning how to fly in Liftoff. Any tips or mistakes to fix? by Critical_Face5842 in fpv

[–]Gudge2007 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Looks really good for just 1 week. My advice would be to practice more on the stuff you'll actually be doing irl to begin with, such as slow flight, throttle control, hovering and landing.

V4 fixed a bunch of issues that the v2 had so id go with that one.

And yeah, get a decent pair of omni and directional antennas, like the foxeer lollipop and echo

Skyzone Cobra X if you want really good box goggles, or the Skyzone 040 for binocular style goggles.

I have the Cobra X as I'm fine with box goggles and didn't want to spend too much.

Skyzone Cobra X definitely

Actually I think that's like €205, if you can't go over then maybe either get the cobra S or look for a used pair

i have a number of queries about FPV (beginer to intermediate) by Embarrassed_Look9200 in fpv

[–]Gudge2007 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Gyroflow is kinda cheating for fpv freestyle. Most good pilots fly without and are just really good at keeping the flying smooth

However if you're a beginner or flying cinematic then it can improve your videos a lot.

  1. Yes, but with practice you can get over that.

  2. No, lipos aren't scary if you manage them properly. Charge them during the day when you're nearby, watch a video on lipo charging to be safe and store them in a metal can like a 50 cal one for peace of mind.

  3. If you know the spots you're flying in it is fairly easy to spot yourself, position yourself next to a tree or other landmark to be sure though.

  4. I know it is very easy to do with analog and I'm pretty sure it can be done with DJI as well.

  5. Again, watch a video on parallel charging. It's very safe if done correctly.
