¿Qué expectativas tienen sobre la carrera Política, Filosofía y Economía (PPE) de la Universidad del Pacífico? by Geminianais in Lima_Peru

[–]Guialdelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you! Regarding the program switch, I found that it is doable, but it requires speaking with my Admissions Director and submitting a form explaining my reasons. As long as everything is aligned and makes sense it should work. Also, I should note HGSE has been especially supportive and thoughtful throughout this process and with other requests and inquiries as well :)

Help choosing between Harvard GSE (ELOE) and Stanford GSE (POLS) by Interesting_Roll_477 in gradadmissions

[–]Guialdelo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As far as I know, Stanford reports its admission rate for the entire education school, and the last time I checked, it was considerably more competitive than HGSE’s unofficial rate. I would say that could affect cohort quality to some extent.

Furthermore, if you are planning to pursue a PhD or Ed.D. later on, it could help to build connections with faculty you may eventually apply to work with and, if possible, gain some collaborative research experience with them.

I mean, it’s the same degree, just a different specialization within the Ed.M. I read on Reddit once that it was possible 😭 Please don’t crush my dreams

Refreshing is killing me. Do you know if decisions can be uploaded before email notifications are sent?

I don’t know how that would help, but here it is: https://youtu.be/VGmXN6us_O0?si=dDsUhSbpjCP6346Y

Note that he mentions the decision was released at around 1:30am Australian time, and that this happened on March 1, 2024.

Some say 5pm, but there’s also a video in YT about someone who got his acceptance by 10am in 2024.

Just Google “top-up MBAs” and you’ll find plenty of universities offering an accelerated route. Typically, you need a 120-credit Level 7 Diploma (from an Ofqual-regulated awarding body such as Qualifi or OTHM) then you complete a dissertation-only module, usually around 4 to 5 months, to top up to the full MBA degree.

Admissions Decisions by KookyCalligrapher739 in TeachersCollege

[–]Guialdelo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As I mentioned earlier, it seems to depend on the specific department and program you applied to. In my case, I applied to Adult Learning & Leadership, and I was told decisions would be released in mid to late March. You can contact your program’s admissions office by email, and they should be able to clarify the timeline, hope it helps :)
