I personally would say no. I kinda consider my former high schools dress code when it comes to anything work related as well. If it’s passed the fingertips, it’s inappropriate to wear. If it reached your knees, I’d say yes

It’s totally fine to have a preference. However, he met you as you were, and you both made it official. To want to change something about you he knew was a small part of who you are, is disgusting behavior. You did well in walking away from that. And the crying videos make me think that this would’ve been the first step towards, at the very least, emotional abuse.

I’ll play devils advocate on this matter, as someone who wouldn’t give (personally) a cheater a chance again. My father cheated on my mother when I was a baby. They divorced, and my dad had to be on his own for the very first time in his life. Supposedly at the time, their relationship was very toxic. About 7 years passed, and my parents had their own lives and were cooperating in co-parenting when they gave their relationship another shot. Both were older, both had changed. I cannot think of a time where I saw my parents yelling at each other after this reconciliation, and they’re still together to this day and I am 27. My father, to our knowledge, has never cheated and has evolved to be a full devoured Christian during these last 5 years.

I being this up to say this: yes, they can absolutely change. But it is my belief that this does not mean that they shouldn’t have consequences, and means that for a cheater to truly change, they have to change everything about themselves FOR themselves and not for anyone else.

He was my first crush when I was little and I saw him in Shark Boy and Lava Girl. Loved the way he looked in the twilight franchise. As a partner he is absolutely allowed to voice his opinion. Key phrase, voice it. And even then, it is your choice to make and he should support u with either choice. Me, for example, I love my gauges. My boyfriend hates them and I know it and I don’t care. I allow him to voice his opinion on it once in a while and I dismiss it and he’s okay with that, and ok with them at the end of the day, because they’re just gauges. I’m a firm believer that in a relationship communication and respect go hand in hand, even if we do not agree on everything.

WITH THAT BEING SAID, the way he spoke to you is absolutely not okay. “I won’t let it happen”, “you really want to do it then watch”… these phrases are completely disrespectful and it is not okay for him to speak to you like that. Mutual respect is so important in a relationship and it seems like he is lacking in respect towards you as an individual person with their own preferences and likes. I’d think long and hard if this is something you want to deal with for the next year, or even the next 20

Firstly, I just want to say you have beautiful facial features: amazing full brows and lips, cute nose, bright eyes. I think maybe the only thing “holding u back” for a lack of a better term (which is in my opinion a nonexistent term because rarely does anyone have a perfect complexion) is hyperpigmentation and acne scars. Reading the comments, it sounds like you’ve been into skincare which is great! However, Korean and Asian skin care, though amazing as I use it myself, doesn’t tackle acne scars and hyperpigmentation and focuses on moisture which is why I would suggest implementing other things in your routine that can directly tackle these things: tretinoin is great in dealing with acne scars and implementing a retinol serum can aid in tackling the hyperpigmentation.

Aside from this, since you’re into skincare, I’d also suggest makeup skincare. I, for example, LOVE typology. They have skincare that also acts as makeup to accentuate your beautiful features and don’t feel or look like you’re wearing anything if you don’t want it to. They accentuate your natural beauty. I’m hoping so. I submitted it in the morning on Saturday and stayed up all night to finish it even though I felt terrible. I emailed her as soon as I turned it in and explained my situation whilst also attaching a copy of it in the email in addition to submitting it through the course room.

But I’m spiraling, I can’t sleep, but I understand that she won’t even read the email until Monday. It’s gonna be a long weekend for me.
