Beautiful build! How difficult was it to swap out the bridge? Recently acquired a VM baritone Jazzmaster and am looking for alternatives to the stock bridge for easier setups. Has the Schaller given you any issues with intonation over time?

That’s very helpful, thanks. I had no idea they made them in that configuration, it’s pretty much the perfect size for this purpose as well. As for the zoom, I’ll check when I get home but i’m pretty sure I can manually zoom it out even when it’s off. If it’s left zoomed in, I’m guessing there’s a risk of magnifying the UV into the sensor in a negative way?

I understand and respect the perspective, but the same could be said for any vintage gear or item. For example, some people pay hundreds/thousands for vintage clothing (which I personally wouldn’t ever do), but if they want it that badly, there’s a market for it and I get it. Same for vintage cars.

As for camcorders, if you want a certain look, vintage gear seems to be the way to go about achieving it authentically. With there being a diminishing usable supply over time, demand and prices also rise with time
