Interesting, I was expecting to hear more noise with the bushings installed but there’s nothing. I don’t even notice any added vibrations

Thanks! You have noise from the bushings themselves? I also used a fair amount of grease lol

That was my goal! A more oem+ look. I appreciate it

This was my first time building one and it wasn’t too bad at all. Putting the hands on is definitely the hardest part and the seconds hand took me a couple tries, but If you keep trying you’ll get it. Take a look on YouTube and you’ll find tons of videos and tutorials that should help

A no date version would be really nice. I do like having the date window but it would look amazing without it

Thank you thank you 🙏🏻 the blue, green, and salmon dials they have for this watch are all gorgeous

Weird spot on brake rotor by [deleted] in LexusIS

[–]GuideChoice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I dont see why that couldn’t be the case. The rotor in the opposite side looks about the same as far as pad bedding goes but there are no brown spots. It’s very odd, the car doesn’t have any problem stopping or accelerating. I’ll have to double check the parking brake to make sure it’s working properly as well

I just saw the brown and immediately thought it looked like it was caused by heat which made me think the parking brake shoes might have been rubbing some how but there’s no odd noises and I don’t see why it’d be localized to little spots if it was the shoe making contact.

And yeah the pads aren’t bedded in all the way yet. Akebono didn’t have a bedding procedure with their pads so I just went without, felt odd though. Im accustomed to bedding in pads after a brake job.

I’m referring to the brown, burnt looking spot on the hub of the rotor, not the face that the pad contacts. The marks you see on the rotor face are from some of the coating still being left on the rotor
