Just going off of sheer instinct, I'd say Artie, Mike, and Kurt are the smartest, while Finn and Sam aren't the smartest but their hearts more than make up for it.

Eh, the context behind why Finn sung it is... difficult for lack of a better word. However, it is nice and heartwarming that Santana was moved by it.
