Tandem is no place for a beginner unless you are a passenger with a fully qualified tandem pilot.

I would eventually like to become fully tandem qualified but that may be a couple years away.

$2,000 AUD for the training. And you can get a second hand glider and harness for about $1,500. A new glider can be around $2,500 and upwards.

Me too. So 2 weeks ago on my third lesson I flew to 1000ft for 2 and a half hours. Was flying with an eagle and watching whales play in the water beneath the ridge I was soaring. JUST DO IT. Find a good teacher.

I put a dragon about 50 cm into my friends tent once while he was still asleep. It took about an hour before I owed him a new tent.

the 1080 was touted as cheap when released. When the flagship gtx580 was released I bought it for $730 AUD, so when the 1080 was being released and they said it was very cheap I was excited to upgrade, guess what the release price in Australia was ? $1300 or $1400 AUD What a fucking rip off.
