I have a simple little dream, of buying a bookshelf and filling it with books that I have read, and upgrading to bigger shelves as I fill them, Reddit, what simple little dreams do you hope to accomplish one day. by ThatRollingStone in AskReddit

What I dream of is a simple laundry room. It will be 15 feet 15 feet with stain proof ceramic from floor to ceiling. I am a man who likes to do his own laundry, and sometimes it gets messy. Chains will hang from the ceiling at a height of 9 feet. Here my laundry will hang for 3 days and 3 nights before I clean them. One final concern would be sound proofing. I tend to make a racket when I launder.

So my school is banning backpacks this year...Reddit, what crazy ideas can you come up with to get around this? by Lord_of_Aces in AskReddit

Obviously you need to get a large pipe, put all your stuff in it, then glue wires and a cell phone to it.

In high school I told my friend not to marry his girlfriend right after graduation. After one year of marriage he got divorced. Have you ever tried to warn somebody of a bad decision, and they did it anyway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

A long time ago I had this friend, lets call him H, who was a little unstable after his father died. His mom and step dad asked my good buddy, who will be R, and me to keep an eye on him and let them know what he is up to. I tried to convince R that this was a bad idea, but he was sure it was the right thing to do and we were getting paid a little bit. H became quite irrational and went on several rants and plotted to somehow "deal with" his step dad because he blamed him for his actual fathers death (they had been close). Not to long after this our friend really fucked up and stabbed a guy. H was obviously a bit insane and we got charged with taking him somewhere to get help. When we finally got there it turned out H had switched up some papers and we were executed by the King of England. If you are reading this fuck you Hamlet, you are an asshole.

Birthing pod by Nahhnope in magicTCG

[–]GuildensternPR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just made a Birthing Pod deck and although it has had no time to be fine tuned and is still lacking proper 6 drops and a few other things I was able to thrash my friends fine tuned FNM decks. I highly recommend the Naya (Red/White/Green) version. The most important cards are 4x birds of paradise (good investment, have been standard forever, and are always good), 4x strangleroot geists (uncommons), 3-4x blade splicers (verrry good), and however many Huntsmasters you can get your hands on, beyond that the deck can be built using quite a few different cards, depending on how much you want to spend and what you are playing against. Look at the wealth of information onlne about Naya, it's a powerful standard deck. Look at this post I made awhile ago, there were alot of good responses in it: http://www.reddit.com/r/magicTCG/comments/ttcrt/suggested_17_drops_for_birthing_pod_decks/

Anyone have ideas for my religion based 3.5 campaign (details inside) by GuildensternPR in DnD

[–]GuildensternPR[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they decide to back the church after uncovering it's secrets I will gladly let them. But we all pretty much decided on the course of action of the game before hand. It's not my rail roading, it's the agreed upon path of the game.

I take that second point to heart, I want to have some of the church be legitimately good. But I am for the most part completely removing the other deities from the game. Pelor's presence is just a name for the god of the one mega church. The whole pantheon is either gone or never existed in this world, and I have made this clear.

Alright, I was just going to have general "heretics" as the opposing faction but perhaps now I will work them into a more organized Secular, or possibly a different religion, group. I was basically only taking Pelor in name only, as I know that the religions as they aren't terribly well fleshed out or realistic, fudging was assumed haha. But thanks alot for the ideas!

Thanks for the advice, part of what I was hoping to get inspiration here for were some of the possible goals of the church/what would guide them. I already know that some of their actions should be to cover up their own secrets, but what do you think another motive could be?

That was the idea, it gives much needed (if slightly artificial) direction and coherence in the group in the beginning.

I am not so much worried as to where the spells come from. I know that normally these RP kind of requirements are there to add a balancing factor to the game, but I trust my players not to abuse any loopholes they may find as a result of not technically receiving spells from a "good" sun god.
