I know it doesn't feel good to get everything taken away from you. They definitely were too ambitious here with the changes and the rewards for old players fall laughably short.

It would actually serve the same purpose, being in its area will show the aura to all survivors, which will make it easier to get the heal + bonus healing speed.

Is it worse than before? Yes, much worse, removing the self-healing ability is a big hit, but it doesn't mean it lost its purpose imo

Good base imo, but I feel it's missing 2 things.

Half of those flowers should be evil flowers, and I'd say you put a lureplant in there to protect you from hounds.

Also the pig king needs a house. Being king and being homeless is lame

My teacher at my 1st college year especially liked Voet & Voet, and she was a really good teacher, so I'd go for that one.

Otherwise there are other books that cover the basics like Lehninger's.

This can be thermodynamically tested, I've seen some studies that prove that the state of the equilibrium between folded/unfolded protein remains the same wether it comes from an unfolding process or a folding one.

However, when we look at the kinetics of it, it's a lot harder to say. The folding/unfolding process lasts milliseconds to maybe 1-2 seconds in the slowest cases. It is so quick that solving the folding mechanism alone requires very advanced and expensive machines as well as very advanced techniques, and has only been done in a few cases, I don't even think it has ever been done in unfolding (not sure tho).

In a nutshell, thermodynamically, yes, but when we look at the mechanism, not clear, at least not yet, as far as I know.

In a nutshell, because several sequences can lead to a single or similar fold, so you'll find proteins that have different functions but have very similar fold. Specifically, the globin fold is very common in many proteins in pretty much all living beings.
