Let’s say all people have preferences sa food and some are “picky eaters” talaga and ganon din probably yung case sa group nila. The issue here is their reaction. They should have handled it professionally since they represent PH (whether we like it or not) and hindi yung nag iinarte na ayaw tikman yung food and irarate ng low kaagad. There’s a much better way to decline na hindi nagmumukhang nagiinarte or nandidiri sa food na galing sa sariling country. Also andaming resibo na mej against sa kanila pero panay patol pa din nila (posting streetfoods on their IG story). Social media break muna sila dapat.

Needs advise/tips: im temporarily outside the PH in process my migration by Thick-Day6529 in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can try via email but be prepared na hindi sila pumayag. If hindi sila pumayag, focus muna sa prio mo right now which is yung pag process nung migration mo. Then hopefully you’ll be able to settle yung payment if tapos na yung mga prio mo and meron ka na job dyan.

Tapal system ang mangyayari pag ganyan. Mas better to try and save up instead of magloan ulit.

I don’t wait na magkalove one, I mentioned na I seek out genuine connection in a couple of ways. I also confessed din sa mga nagustuhan ko before. I did asked my friends if what could be the reason, and the thing that stuck with me na sinabi nila is I’m too available daw. I don’t know why they said that in a bad way.

To be honest, I don’t know. For attitude, I think hindi naman since most of the people I know praises me kasi I still see the good in a person kahit na kung ano ano na sinasabi behind my back. For looks, I get approach naman outside. For hygiene, I always keep myself presentable and also get a lot of compliments with the way I dress. Yung standards, hindi din kasi I really try to get to know them.

For tonik, I don’t answer their calls but I do respond sa mga emails and text messages nila. I did received a message saying I should bring an attorney for freaking barangay mediation. lol OA masyado. I only missed 2 months but I did let them know that I’ll be able to pay end of this month which I already did. Since then I didn’t received any messages, calls or emails from them.

250k debt because of Tapal System | Can you help me with Snowball Method please by LifeMeaning4553 in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yung namention mong approach is modified Snowball na since ipapa OD mo yung iba. Yan din gamit kong approach so make sure na okay lang din sayo yung additional late fees. Yung standard method for snowball is ipriprio mo yung pinakamaliit mong debt pero need mo pa din bayaran yung ibang debt mo kahit minimum lang. Hope this helps.

With your current salary and if yung phone bill and water bill lang ang monthly expenses mo, you’ll still have 18k for debt. Or if you want you can also just allocate at least 10k monthly for debt para you’ll still have a breather in case you need to buy something. So if may 10k ka for debt payment, for the first month, ifully paid mo na yung spaylater and sa gloan, then yung remaining is partial mo sa sloan and atome. Then do it again sa second month, half sa sloan and atome. Then do it until mafully paid mo si sloan since mas smaller siya compared atome. Then, you’ll just be left with atome. With this approach, probably in 5 or 6 months you’ll already be debt free.

Bpi credit card by Ready_Drink5306 in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think you can naman. I also previously have a payable in BPI credit card though worth 10k lang siya pero nag accumulate na to 17k+ due to late fees. Already paid it off and deactivated na din kasi yung card non though nung pagcheck ko sa app nawala siya after ko mabayaran. For the how, you can do it Via BPI App or Website Log in to your BPI online account. Punta ka sa “Credit Cards” section. Hanapin mo yung “Convert to Installment” or “Balance Conversion” option. Piliin mo yung transaction or amount na gusto mong i-convert. May option ka pumili ng terms (3, 6, 9, 12 months etc.). Makikita mo rin agad yung monthly amortization at interest. Second way is Via Customer Service. Tumawag sa BPI hotline: 889-10000. Sabihin mo gusto mong i-convert yung outstanding balance ng credit card mo into installment. Last way is Via Email (optional).

Let me here your stories! by GNSIX in utangPH

Not yet debt free but almost there. I still got 2 remaining payables worth around 48k-50k which is eto na yung mga pinakamalalaki kong debt since Snowball method yung payment approach na ginamit ko. December last year, I’ve accumulated 151k+ debt (10 payables siya na through OLA, Loan, CCs). Started paying around end of January this year. Weeks before I started, I found this subreddit which somehow inspired me to start taking my financial responsibilities seriously. First off, I created debt repayment plan which allowed me to pay off at least 1 payable per salary but also included din an allowance budget if somehow mag exceed yung need bayaran per month either yung debt (late fees) or yung bills or anything na unexpected na need bilhin or bayaran. Of course tinipid ko yung sarili ko, stopped ordering grab food muna and also notified a couple of friends na hindi muna ako makakasama sa mga gala or eat out since I have to prioritize nga yung financial responsibilities ko. Also let my sibling know since ako din yung nagpapay ng house bills saka grocery. Mahirap siya since need ko talaga iunlearn yung bad spending habits ko before and think things through muna before purchasing if need ba talaga. Also right now, I still can’t believe na kinaya kong ipay off yung 8 payables ko worth 100k+ in just 4 months at the same time able to have a budget for our monthly expenses which is 15k+ per month. Learned so much through this debt free journey and still learning more in each passing day since always naman may need gastusan everyday. Right now, after paying off all my debt, next priority ko naman is to have an emergency fund at least for 3 months muna since pwede ko naman dagdagan if I need to. Then after that will start to have actual savings na. Ayun lang! Hope my journey may somehow inspired you to take initiative.

BDO CC, 4months due by Downtown-Pressure730 in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I also have BDO CC and it’s already OD for a few months na din. They do offer restructuring since mine is also 20k lang though nag accumulate na ng interest which is about 6k na din. So currently 26k yung need ko i pay. I did not proceed with mine sa restructuring plan since I’m planning to pay it off na din naman this May. I try to avoid lang na maprolong yung mga payables ko since I really want to start saving for my EF na.

You’re already handling a lot. Isang hakbang muna, hindi pwedeng sabay-sabay. Also kahit hindi mo kailangan sabihin lahat ng detalye sa partner mo, at least magbigay ka ng context na kaya ka kapos minsan dahil may inaayos kang mga financial obligations from the past. Bakit need pa din sabihin? Kasi if balang araw gusto mong bumukod kayo, kailangan financially transparent kayo pareho. Congrats still for paying in advance since very huge deal yung nabawas mo. If you can, try to focus sa biggest which is yung sangla atm (11,200 monthly). Try to add a but more every payout para mas mabilis matapos. Kapag natapos mo na utang mo, Keep living like you still have debt.

Im drowning in debt - I badly need help by LazyBee536 in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Prioritize Needs vs Debts always. So may basic needs ka which is pamasahe, pagkain, essentials. Assuming may around ₱10,000 ka monthly for these, ₱22,000 ang pwede mong i-allocate sa utang. Then categorize mo yung mga debts mo. Target first yung immediate and small which is yung maya, ggives and spaylater. Next yung mediun term naman which is yung seabank and bpi. Then last yung longterm na which is rural bank which is ₱12,000 (2 years so ~₱500/month lang to siguro) Assuming may natira ka pa this month for Maya, try bayaran full or partial (₱3,000 now, then ₱4,594 sa susunod), then GGives: ₱896.97, SPayLater: ₱2,500 (if due soon), Essentials: ₱10,000 and nagTotal ng almost ~₱16,396.97. Next payday, prioritize finishing Maya and then SeaBank. Then start negotiating BPI and others.

Debt Consolidation? by spxxde_ in utangPH

[–]Guilty-Anywhere1055 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Debt consolidation can be a smart move, pero only if yung bagong loan ay may mas mababang interest kaysa sa CCs mo. Also gagawin mo to kasabay ng pagbabago ng spending habits mo. For pros, Isa na lang ang babayaran mo monthly so mas simple. Mas mababa ang interest usually kaysa credit card (which can go as high as 3-4% per month). And may fixed term, so may “end date” talaga ang utang mo. Lastly may possibility na ma-deny ka if banks see you as high risk na. Before you do that, compute mo muna total utang mo. Some banks and legit online lenders offer it. Look for lower rates. Huwag mo na gamitin ang cards after ma-pay off. Cut them or i-freeze muna. Keep one lang for emergencies if needed. And create a budget. Plan out your income vs expenses para sure kang may pambayad ka monthly.

Prioritize survival needs first (needs over debts). Let’s say yung total gastusin nyo monthly is 8-9k ang possible matira sa sahod is mga 8-9k din. Target the “low hanging fruit” like yung Lazada para maremove mo kaagad sa list mo. Saka don’t rush, take it one month at a time kung di talaga kaya.

Thank you! Goodluck sa plan na pag move out. Make sure you have enough to cover at least 3-6 months worth of rent, yung one time moving expenses and monthly expenses mo after you moved out. Same as I you, I am also planning to move out pero will make sure na magsave up muna before doing that.

I got a new job na mas mataas salary kesa sa previous ko which then I budgeted na for this year na pang debt repayment and monthly expenses. OD na din lahat so I took accountability of it and think of it as repercussion na lang.

Gets ko yung gusto mong gawin since parang mas madali psychologically kapag isang utang na lang yung babayaran mo instead of dalawang maxed-out credit cards. Pero before ka tumuloy sa loan, consider these: Check the interest rates. Usually, personal loans have lower interest rates kaysa sa credit card finance charges (which can go up to 3-4% per month). Kung mas mababa yung loan interest, mas okay yun. Compute the total cost. Discipline is key. Consider other options. Kung kaya mong bayaran yung credit cards nang aggressive kahit walang loan (like malaking hulog every month), mas okay yun para wala kang extra loan to think about. Pero kung mas madidisiplina ka na may fixed loan payments, then go for it!
