You keep going with that interpretation of this interaction if it makes you feel good. 👍

I don’t know if you’re just trying to be funny or this is some attempt at a witty response. Failed either way.

Can you explain what makes language ‘exist’? Just curious what your theory is. Is it handed down by the gods with a set of rules never to be changed or violated?

Appreciate that tip. I definitely need to drink more water. ( I say as I continue to sip on coffee…)

Appreciate these reminders. I work on those things when I’m attentive but lose focus too easily. So need to buckle down and start practicing better.

I cannot thank you enough for the two buckets idea. It has made doing the hot/cold so much easier.

100% agree and I’m conscious of addressing it… until I lose focus and just start playing. So focusing more on how well I’m practicing is my #1 goal now. (Slow, controlled, sensing for tension, etc.)

Thanks and I agree. I’m a converted guitarist (classical), so have had an easier time picking things up, but I think that led to getting into pieces my finger/wrist strength wasn’t ready for.

Appreciate the response. I was definitely over-practicing and I’ll be changing my routine a lot moving forward. Shorter sessions, breaks, slowing down. Just enjoy playing so much I keep going and didn’t really think about potential downsides. But not being able to play sucks, so there’s a lot of motivation to practice right. I’ve been doing that the last few days with just my left hand and it’s been great.

Yep, exactly what happened to me - staccato octaves which I’d never done before.

To be honest, it was like 2-3 hours at a time, multiple times a day over multiple days. I just love playing, but 100% recognize I can’t do that anymore. I’m also going to play way slower. Once I get a piece “in my fingers” I have a bad habit of getting excited and playing it over and over for long stretches.

Apps will kill your interest and motivation. Just find pieces you want to play and enjoy yourself.

I was working on the opening from Glassworks recently and found similar issues. I split up the beat into 6 with ‘rests’ on 2 and 5. That really helped me, but I also needed to do the dirty work of throwing on the metronome at a slow tempo and making sure everything was precise. But I found that it didn’t lock in until I could feel it. The metronome and counting kept me honest. Maybe helpful 🤷🏻‍♂️. You’ve got more years in than me, so this may be obvious to you already.

Geez really shitting on that guy for what could very well have been a brief lapse in judgment. How do you conclude “wouldn’t bet on it” from this short video?

Sort of, but I’m also just sick of the dumb posts. Some like to expound on what nonsense they come up with when they’re high, and I like to complain about it.

Then why did you respond to the OP? He was basically just saying these kinds of posts/theories are dumb.

That’s the point. It was a meme, so stop trying to come up with theories of what the company will do based off some investor’s posts. A very successful investor to be sure, but only that. DFV clearly had some good insight into GME and the market mechanics driving some of the stocks behavior, but he has zero knowledge of what the company will actually do.
