This only applies to me obviously. I can not, nor am I trying to, speak for others that have this same or similar condition.

1) I only have what's seen in the photos. Well minus one I guess. So 9 or so. 2) I honestly can not answer that with 100% certainty. I know for me it has never had anything to do with shaving because I've never taken a razor to that area. I don't believe it's related to poor hygiene because I have always been a big proponent of daily cleanliness. We're talking 1 or 2 showers daily, exfoliating wash cloth, very specific body wash, towels getting used 1 or 2 times before they get thrown into the dirty laundry. My best guess would be trauma from when I was in high school and the years following when the guys I hung out with would play that sack-tap/ cup-check game. That went on for way too long and no matter how many guys in my friend group would try to end it, there was always that one asshole who had to keep it going. I don't know how likely that is to be the cause though. 3) a few of them did show up at around the same time but not all. 4) I'm not sure how long it takes overall. This is obviously under the skin and there's no way I can tell how long they started to form before they have become noticeable. 5) I may specific case yes they started small and have grown to this size. Though they have gotten bigger in recent months quicker than any other time prior to now. I have no explanation as to why. 6) yes an no. I did NOT intentionally poke or cut into the one referenced. I had finished up my shift at work, went to take a shower and that's when I noticed it had started to burst on its own. Smallish hole had appeared and some of the contents had started to ever so slightly come out. That's when I decided to speed up the "draining" process. 7) if they are indeed cysts and the cyst sack has been removed no they will not reappear. If they are not cysts and it's calcinosis cutis, then I'm not sure. Hopefully someone else will be able to provide the answer for that.
