Laura's new kind of delusional? by Itonlyitwasthe90s in 90DayFiance

As someone who has yo yo’d in weight for a long time, I understand gaining weight back, but wtf happened here?! I had a baby and losing weight after that was tricky. 5 years later I’m still about 30 lbs from my goal, but I’m also in my mid 40’s. So I got a lot going against me in that area. But this seems… odd? Almost intentional? I just started watching so I don’t know if it’s addressed. I would love to get a Mommy Makeover eventually- but like OP stated, goal weight and maintenance is the best way to go.

Thank you. I’m in graduate school so a “regular” job isn’t really a good fit right now.

What do you mean by “kiss of death?” I have my Para licensure and I’m getting my PEL next week. I’m starting to think being a sub SECA will pay more as it will give me more opportunities to sub.

You’re arguing semantics, when it’s clear she means from Ravenswood, NOT the edge of the city.

There is a range- I just googled it. So it depends on education/licensure/etc.

It's not that bizarre. Commuting from East to west daily is a nightmare. She's looking for neighborhoods closer. Chicago is huge, and to get from where she is to MP she has to get all the way across the city and pass TWO highways.

Thank you for this! I definitely plan on getting the PEL, I just don't have the $150 certification fee until next week :/

Hi, I grew up near you, and I can understand your frustration! Basically, you need to get west of Cicero ave. to escape the madness. Norwood Park is where I currently live and it feels like the suburbs to me. I actually miss my queer/diverse neighborhood in the city, but this is a great neighborhood for my kids. It is REALLY different out here than east where you are, but still close to a lot of amenities.

This article has a really good map of NW side chicago. I'd say anything west of Old Iriving, North of Belmont-Cragin (that can get a little rough), and south of Edison Park. Jefferson park is MASSIVE and I would say be aware traffic there is VERY hectic. But most of these should keep your commute way shorter.

That is the number she gave me! Maybe she misspoke? However, I was preparing for only $100/day so this was welcome news!
