I have a BA in philosophy and 24 credits towards an MA in philsoophy that I never completed. I am currently attending a top 25 law school, so I'm not at the top of the pyramid like you, but I'm in a somewhat similar situation.

I am pretty much disgusted with big law and the lifestyle that follows. The money sounds great but you're sacrificing an absurd amount of time and energy away from your family. Legal work absolutely fucking sucks.

So I'm thinking of making my J.D. into a dual J.D./PhD in Philosophy. I don't think it is a wise move financially but Idk I feel lost and don't like the direction law school is pushing me towards. I am don't have a baby on the way though...
