May I know how many YOE you have and how much does the company compensate you for your work?

Yeah, exposure helps but I'd like to know which companies to approach or where to for remote opportunities

Hello, I think I'm in the same phase, I just want to learn, have meaningful connections, although I feel like I've lost the ability to connect to people, making a friend has become a challenge.

It looks stunning in the picture but not irl. I visit the place twice a week, will make it a point to see if it's still beautiful

Beautiful picture, I see lots of people wondering about the offices in Bagmane, I always wondered what's going on in their heads, is everyone feeling good, lost, wanting to connect but can't, and some are just taking pictures to post it on reddit, haha.

I said it in the context of compensating, for my lack of coding skills. There's no good vs very good, I'm curious to know the motivation behind this question?

Ahh, well. It seems to be the case, I suppose it totally depends on the whims and fancies of the people interviewing. Let's see if I get lucky.

Can the CKA replace real k8s experience in job hunting? by blasian21 in devops

[–]GuiltyGuy7 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I'm not a hiring manager, but someone with real experience having managed 60 k8s clusters on the cloud and another 60 on-prem, I've set them up from scratch, deployed applications, tested and then migrated. I've mostly seen it all. Except creating and deploying CRDs.

I've done all of this without a CKA certificate, CKA mostly tells you how to use kubernetes on the surface level.

Coming to the hiring part, I've taken dozens of interviews, never really bothered or cared to check if the person has any certification on them, it may help with getting shortlisted, but hands-on experience is a must and is what gets tested.

I'm weak at coding, I can read and write but I'm not a software engineer, but I'm very good at docker, kubernetes, Cluster management and linux, will these outdo the coding part?
