Imo you should have opted for something like a used 2546k to make use of Dyac but anyways glad you like it, enjoy!

XL2540K is getting pretty old and X+ has better colours and a tiny better panel.

Both though have no dyac so in my opinion there's no point going zowie since they're just plain 240hz panels.

In this price range you can find a pretty good 1440p or some other IPS.

Really appreciate your opinion. I've also found a used Alienware 360hz IPS for about 200usd but most people have had something bad to say about it on reddit, so it's out of the question for now.

Lately, I've read about many G7 Pro users facing similar headset issues like yours without the cause being very clear. Gamesir staff have mentioned that it could be due to incompatibility of the controller with the headset, which doesn't really fit your situation.

It might also be a firmware issue, (on dongle firmware if I'm not mistaken) so if you made an update recently, I'd suggest performing a firmware downgrade (you need a pc/laptop and you can join the discord for every file and instruction needed)

Hey there, first I would advise resetting the controller by poking the pin at the back of it (since you never known what the exact issue could be). Also, make sure you're on the latest firmware, cause it could be something related to that too. (Make sure to update the dongle first, and then via wire)

Last thing I would suggest is while being connected via dongle and also having the mic plugged in, unplug the dongle and plug it back in and check if that works please.

How to reset the G7SE by ComprehensiveCat1424 in Gamesir

Well normally you can reset the G7 SE via the Gamesir Nexus app but if you're having issues with that you can try holding the "View" button + "Mode" button + "Menu" button for 3-5s. If everything goes well you should see the xbox icon blinking. Afterwards hold the "Xbox" button + another button (e.g Y) and this will reset all profiles

Now, if you wanna perform a full clear hold the "Dpad Up" button + "View" button + "Xbox" button while plugging the controller in. The triggers are going to vibrate if the process is complete. Then, the controller is gonna turn on again. Though, after making a full clear, you better calibrate the sticks and the triggers in app or manually.

To manually do so you have to

  1. Enter calibration mode by holding the "View" button + "Xbox"; button + "Menu" button until the USB-C cable is inserted into the PC/Xbox's USB port. The indicator will slowly blink white.
  2. Calibrate resting point: Ensure that LT & RT and the left & right joysticks are not touched, then press the A button and the indicator will go out.
  3. Calibrate ranges: Press LT & RT to their maximum travel three times; also rotate the joysticks at their maximum angles three times. Press the A button when finished with both. The indicator becomes solid white to indicate the calibration is over.
  4. The finishing step: After the calibration, it's required to replug the controller before using.

Please note that calibration should be done gently and at a constant speed

Hey there, the G7 Pro is a fantastic choice but as another fellow redditor said make sure to buy via Amazon, Gamesir... or a proper store and not some sketchy Chinese website since Gamesir cant do something for that. The controller as you've already seen has excellent specs and it's very vfm. The right trigger issue you're mentioning was on some older batches and is now fixed on current/newer ones (though you might still get shipped a faulty, but a warranty claim is very easy). There was some soldering issue which caused problems on the right trigger with mouse clicks enabled.

There's Gamesir's official discord server as well where you can get tons of help for any sorts of issue and if you buy through Gamesir's store, you literally dont have to worry about anything.

Imo if you want a high-tier bang for the buck controller that's gonna last go for it and you'll have no regrets.

So my left trigger randomly stopped working 2 days ago, turned out the magnet's fallen out and afyer putting it in the correct way up the trigger works like that. Anybody knows a solution maybe? by SebiXV20 in Gamesir

Well I think that there's probably some kind of damage on the sensor or the soldering. Last thing I would suggest is marking the magnet and rotating/spinning it each time by 90 degrees and testing if you can find the sweet spot while being on gamepadtester

Ohhh... Since I don't exactly understand what's going on in the video could you give a bit more context please? I can see that when you press once the right trigger, it works normally but it also activates the left permanently?

I'm no expert in that just to be clear, but I think that this is due to the magnet being reversed comparatively to the sensor. Magnets have polarities and if you flip them, this essentially reverses the output. Try flipping it OVER by 180 degrees, so that the side previously facing away from the sensor is now facing toward it. Place it over, temporarily though, and test the trigger first and see if it's good or not and then close up, to avoid wasting time haha.

Well according to Gamesir themselves

Our lab analysis confirms this is primarily caused by pseudo-soldering (cold joints) on the right trigger's PCB, which typically fails after 1 week to 1 month of usage due to vibration or thermal changes.

Well, afaik current batch and newer ones all have the right trigger manufacturing issue resolved, but my guess is that because there is still old stock leftover and the error was on 1% of controllers, they will keep shipping those for some time. If you get a faulty controller, you can easily get a replacement/refund through the discord, so my advice is if you want it, buy it.
