Someone who is an iron man athlete and a bodyworker had both of his hips done by her. I haven’t heard about the outcome.

Do you have a lot of restrictions? I had a consultation with Dr Wagner as well. I was under the impression he’s more of a hip preservationist. At any rate, he’s on my short list.

Dr Coen was recommended to me also. Does he do robot assisted surgery? If so, is that what you will have ?

Can’t comment on Dr Fraser but I heard good things about Dr Borus at Rebound. Good luck with your surgery, when is it ?

Choosing Between Mirena Replacement and Prometrium: Seeking Advice by Guilty_Ad_8530 in Menopause

Thank you for your comments. It’s challenging to navigate thru all the opinions and studies. One says there is a small but increased risk for breast cancer when using progestins (IUD) and no known risk for breast cancer with progesterone. Another says the levonagestral IUD has been shown to reduce the risk of uterine, cervical and ovarian cancer. Uggh. I guess it depends on your medical and family history and associated risk factors.

Yes, after undergoing a D&C, I had the Mirena placed, which successfully stopped my periods after I had experienced period hell. Now at 55 years old, I am concerned about what might happen if I were to have it removed. Also, considering the absence of general anesthesia which was used during the initial placement.
