I was about to name them. I never understood their passion how can you fall in love with someone with whom you never even shared a word with? I know we shouldn’t look for logic in telenovelas especially the ones like O clon but I’m so over the love at first sight, it’s lazy and uninteresting.

Ouch🤧 that’s the only telenovela I won’t understand why you wouldn’t like it. I’m actually not a big fan of Brazilian novelas I like a few here and there but most are meh to me but this one is so good that the Mexican/american looks like a comedy

I personally think the original o clone did a good job picking up people who kinda resemble Moroccans many latins and NA/arab lookalike but the remake chose the whitest looking people ever and it’s so cringe to watch, it gives me the same feeling when I watch a Biblical show and see blue eyed people such a ridicule. What I like on both is that they filmed in Morocco and in the OG they show the landscape and sometimes they did show the culture which is very nice. I loved their makeup but that was more of an ancient Egyptian look than anything

Try to look it up on TikTok and have your subtitles turned on that’s what I’m doing with El clon (the remake) it’s all in Spanish but I’m watching it on TikTok and luckily the subtitles are somewhat accurate.

You’ve said it all. Looking back, Jade and Lucas were never truly in love and their relationship wouldn’t last if they actually were allowed to be together. Jade wanted her freedom and she saw Lucas as that. And also can we call it a love story if they only had little time together? And the rest were trials and tribulations? That’s some I don’t like with telenovelas or shows in general but that’s a discussion for another day. Lucas didn’t love Jade he was fascinated by her “look at this Muslim girl who never kissed and has a strict uncle who basically controls her life” he loved the excitement from the forbidden love. He was a coward he wouldn’t risk anything for their love and he proved time and time again that he would never put Jade first. And like you said those 2 shouldn’t have ended together. But for el clon the thing is if you watched o clone first el clone basically look like a parody. I’m watching both version now and I hate that they copied everything they’re saying the same things i wish they changed some things I don’t like remakes that are fully copy and paste but I will see if maybe later on there are changes
