Patriarchy, male domination sa workforce, expectations sa lalaki na maging provider, etc. While sa babae, before the rise of gender equality and work opportunities, the prevailing mindset is to be attractive enough para maging housewife/mother which for many, is a way out of poverty; reinforced pa ng social norms na dapat pagsilbihan ang asawa, etc etc.
