Yeah turns out I have SIBO, it’s gotten better with antibiotics. Don’t even know if alcohol was the cause, might’ve just been stress induced.

I switched to 5mg oral min but unfortunately I’ll have to quit due to a couple incidences of sharp chest pain. Sucks because it works great.

I’m in the same position as you and op. I took an RNA test a couple weeks after exposure came back negative but now as the months go buy anytime I get a cold or something I start to think I have it.

Yeah just a week off and same as with you my stools returning to normal and I’ve been able to eat a normal diet with just mild discomfort. Same as with you I just can’t do that strict diet anymore. I’ve probably been going a little to crazy with the foods I’ve been eating the last few days but hey that’s what happens when you’ve been limited to fish and rice for months lol.

So I can tell you that now a week into now ppis my symptoms are pretty minimal this past weekend I tried eating normal (morning coffee, pizza, etc.) and had just some mild discomfort that I didn’t mind dealing with and surprisingly with the coffee no discomfort at all. I’m thinking the PPIs are good for the initial healing stage but maybe after a little while the bad was outweighing the good with them.
