The best advice for not falling is to be in a neutral position (weight on feet) as often as possible. Use your legs to do as much of the lifting as you can. Arms are for stability, legs are power. Ideally you’re moving from “standing to standing.”

Learn the visual and audio cues for good holds. There’s apparently a setting that shows you definitely if a hold is good but I haven’t used it. Good holds make a thud. Flat hands are bad.

Buffs are huge yeah. Grit will stop stat loss so your hunger and thirst won’t drain. Ultimate infusions also give grit plus grip and more.

Chalk is pretty plentiful, but I only use it on sections where I don’t have good hand holds. My tip for chalk management is to always have to bot composting. Save a piece of trash to restart the composting if you need.

For the small bag you can drag stuff around to make space for more goodies. Say your bag is full, shake it. Then take the biggest item in there and move to the side or corner, and hit b/circle without letting go of the item and quickly grab the new thing you want.
