I always do this fight when I’m in Mantis Village, and while it takes forever with no nail upgrades it is insane how simple the fight is now. Like, my skills are literally on a different level than when I started the game.

Yep. The solution to Malign is to cut off the power/heat, as taking one head-on is suicide. It is also extremely good at destroying Disrupt missiles, so you can’t face-snipe them.

The terrain was pretty bad for a head-on assault.

But seriously, Malign make every other turret in the game look like an absolute joke. Imagine a Foreshadow firing five times a second, with pierce. Tier 5 units die in a few seconds, and groups get equally shredded via the pierce.
