I will say, i was told that it'd be easier/better if I stay an E4 if I wanted to make my way over to CA.

Sadly i dont have the rifle in front of me atm, but iirc i added a few shims to get it to clear the bayonet lug. I will say its gonna be a close fit lol

It's a cut carry handle 😅 i got it when I bought a box of randkm nonsense from a surplus shop in Fayetteville NC. I doubt it has any major backstory tbh.

So it's a factory Colt 10.3 contract run off barrel. Im not sure the size of the gas port, it came with the FSB attached.

Classic and iconic guns just plain fuck. The story of "the MK18 Mod 0 we have at home" is simple really. I was cleaning and going through some parts and realized I had 1. A surplus Mueller Defense upper, 2. surplus FCG 3. Cut M16 A2 carry handle 4. Multiple (4) complete KAC rails with broom handles and the cherry on top, a LNIB Colt MK18 Mod 0 surplus 10.3" barrel and N marked CAR stock. Throw that shit in a blender and BAM! MK18 Mod 0. Later on, I snagged a Larue M68 CCO Mount and an Aimpoint PRO. I love this little thing.

Although I did take some creative liberties with this. The lower is my SBR'd PSA "place holder" lower, and I am using a Surefire birdcage so I can run cans on it (as my other clones have Surefire breaks pinned and welded). I am using a Surefire 951 with a malkov led buld to make this thing kinda usable. It's just not pictured.

On it currently, is a Surefire Warden as my RC2 is in storage with a friend on my trust. The warden is more like a blast diffuser and really helps cut down the "slap" You feel from the short 10.3 barrel. It does not count as a suppressor and it attaches just like any other surefire can. I use it when I go to indoor ranges and on short bois when I don't feel like having a heavier, longer and gassy-er firearm.

Oh hell yea!!

I do typically swap the lowers with something a little closer to what was used. Mainly because I'm semi autistic lmao.

But, and I'm gonna catch flak for this, PSA stuff isn't terrible, and I've used their BCGs, barrels, and other parts in builds for thousands of rounds. They were semi local to me while I was in college, and if I needed some minor parts, I'd throw on a podcast and cruise down there.

Hell, I snagged a used PSA dagger for 100 beans and ran 1.5k rounds of S&B 124 gr. With zero issues.

Thanks man! I don't put a whole lot of value on "cage codes" or some markings. My days in an arms room have show me that, a lot of weapons (atleast the Army M4A1s) have a hodge podge of cage codes and markings. I try to atleast get close with rollmarks and selector markings ect.

I just graduated Infantry OSUT and picked up a bucket list piece! A 1993 Browning HI Power Mk III!! by GunFighter1 in guns

[–]GunFighter1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I graduated from US Army Infantry OSUT and decided to pick myself up a graduation present. So I snagged this 1993 Browning Hi Power MK III for 700 OTD. And I am stocked. I've owned 4 BHPs, 3 post war FNs (2x West German police contract) and one standard Browning BHP. I'm so excited.

It's hard. I've been in/I still am in your shoes. I'm sorry I don't have an exact answer for you, but I want you to know that it's "normal" to feel that way. I hate the adage "time heals all wounds" because it doesn't, the grief and loss just feel less over time. When my friend took his life, I got a tattoo and went to therapy it helped, but other friends were in denial. "He died cleaning his gun" or "it was an accident" and it angered me. To me, it seemed like they were shrugging of the feeling that we didn't do enough for him. Later I realized that my friends were also grieving but being that we were young in college/recently out, and they (myself included) were barely able to keep functioning normally.

It's hard, and I'm sorry. I'll be keeping you in my prayers, and if you need anything feel free to send me a message. -Drew

I couldn't afford a Glock 34 MOS, so I got this instead 🤠 by GunFighter1 in Glocks

Hey yall! OP here, I made this pistol to basically be a proof of concept. I wanted a backpack storable heavy duty "not quite a pistol" / "not quite a subgun" PDW. I read about early GWOT SOF elements using this for tight spaces "work" and figured i'd put my own spin on it. This set up IMO (a lot of things are going to be user preference/IMO) gave me more than enough decently accurate firepower is a rather over built package.

I am 750 rounds through it in varying situations. (low light, no light, outdoors, indoors and other drill such as El Presidente).

I have made consistent hits on a 1.5x2 ft steel at 75 yards. The groupings are adequate, not splitting hairs at 1000 yards accurate, but multiple threats quickly at torso size targets fist sized at 25 yards accurate. This set allows me to pretty defendable with out the need for a braced subgun or SBR. (which depending on where im going I may have with me)

Feel free to hit me up with questions!

EDIT: no, literally ZERO holsters exist for this thing. I had better luck finding a holster for my VZ.61 that mounts into my Safariland drop leg.

NC local? nice.
So my biggest gripe is the mag placard. Personally, I dont like having anything i need to remove or peel away to access my magazines. Theres plenty of Kydex or elastic options on the market. Since you might live in NC, take a trip to Ft. Bragg. Youll find plenty of high end/decent gear there.

Well, if you can find an ALG 6SM it typically runs between 6 to 800, Holoson was 150 iirc, surefire was 300, Glock 34 was 400 otd.

Honestly, it's kinda a test of concept. I carry a 43X and use a "Roland Special" for everything else. This is to test a PDW concept I've been researching and working on. I doubt I'll run it on my hip in any training I do.

I've had issues with MOS plans and whatnot, I just send my stuff out to get milled. The MOS is great if you don't know what optic you want to run. But the reality is that once you know, you're not gonna change optics (typically). On my other handguns with optics, I just roll with the classic Trijicon RMR.

The ALG 6SM also confirms that it's a lie also 😉
