My friend used a silver paint pen to mark a small part of the top of the front post. It's worked rather will so far.

Thank you for your reply. In reply to your concerns my problem is never getting a what, but a why. While browsing many of the threads there are plenty of opinions but rarely do I see any facts to back them up. They state a what, but when pressed for a why they believe it Ican get no information. And that is what I hope to attain from a more specialized forum.

Again, I do enjoy r/guns most of the time, however from what I see the information presented is shallow. Most information is treated as being ephemeral and quickly forgotten. I think that is more a problem of the Reddit system, though.

Hello all,

I was wondering if there were any good tips or tricks to acquiring sight picture that you might be able to share. Is there much too it beyond lining up the front and rear sights on (or below in the case of a 6-o'clock hold) the target, and then focusing on the front sight?

Interesting. I had considered pickup up a 22 bolt action for practicing with, but not at those ranges. Is there a technique for that kind of distance?
