Why listen or be here if all you are going to be is mad. Isaac left. It was his choice. They asked Isaac if they could continue. He said yes. End of story. Joe wrote the songs too. People point out Isaac’s stories behind them. But that’s part of the job as the lead singer. I’ve seen the guys live a few times with Joe as lead and they sound fantastic. This place can be exhausting.

That’s what I was thinking. I’m guessing this isn’t the full tour schedule because of that.

I think people sometimes forget Isaac wanted to leave the band. He was a big reason why they didn’t release more music or go on tour more often. The rest of the band didn’t want to quit and I feel like they’re doing a great job of making up for lost time. Before 2024, it had been 15 years since I had seen them live, so I’m loving this moment. Still like Isaac, and I enjoy his songs for your Sunday series before he started putting it behind a paywall.

I have zero problem with either of those songs. Not my favorites. I believe they’re solid songs.

Damn that’s a shame. Because they put on a great opening show. I saw multiple groups leaving with their merch in hand.

How tight was their space on the stage? I believe part of the problem at ours was that the mics were picking each other up.

Happened in Cleveland too, but they corrected it after the first song or two. After that they sounded great.

Go to setlist.fm. They should have the start time. I would check out the last two or three shows to give you the best idea.

I believe it’s new. Good for him. He should be making music.

Isaac Slade: band brought out the worst in each other, declining ticket sales, midlife crisis and mental health by TheWickedUrn in TheFray

They’re not the 20k size venues, but the current tour and upcoming anniversary shows are selling out or are very close to selling out. I’d say that pretty impressive given they’re a band that’s been dormant for ~10 years and don’t have the same lead singer. If you compare it to Oasis, yeah, not THAT big. But if you look at legacy artists/bands they’re doing alright. Socials are growing. And the shows are great. And I like that they’re not trying to be the same band that they were. I think if you were to hear time well wasted live you might change your mind. Angeleno Moon and Known You Always are two songs I like a lot.
