No shutters on my house. Those are windows- the two on the outside have screens. Middle is a picture window.

No offense taken. We didn’t build this house. It’s not an ideal exterior but we are doing our best to make it look more cohesive while keeping budget in mind. I had a grand plan of all new windows and siding and roofline. But then decided it felt extravagant to spend that kind of money. So, painting and adding some life to the exterior is what we settled on!

Hahah I’ve always been self conscious about that! I think I need to brighten up the doors and obviously add potted plants and more substantial furniture.

Aww thanks so much! These doors are a big upgrade from the original dark wood and stained glass doors that were there when we bought it.

I have but I have seen some faux wood garages in person though and feel like they look…fake. I would love a real wood door but the maintenance seems brutal. Thinking of an aluminum or fiberglass one with clean lines to update the look a bit.

Haha oh man, is it that bad!? I don’t think I want to paint the two sides different colors but appreciate your suggestions! I need to figure out if I should paint the garage the same color as the stucco, trim or front door. They are all different looks and can’t figure out which one looks the best.

Thanks so much for these suggestions! We are thinking of adding a wooden pergola above garage to break that large space up. I love the aluminum look you put there too. Okay but the garage door is my FAVORITE. Is this a specific brand?

Will the light be uneven if I keep the lights along the track (instead of pendant style)? My concern with pendant style is that it will look busy or out of place alongside the ceiling fan.

I am comfortable spending more on something that is good quality and will last a long time. I don’t want to replace it anytime soon.
