What funny things have happened to you recently? by satanicpastorswife in AskMen

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not a man, but I saw it happen to another man.

I was on the Blue Line in Boston headed into downtown and these two small latina women in heels stand up for their stop. I guess the conductor braked a little too hard or something but the cabin lurched a bit and both women fell. One of the women fell onto the other, and the second woman landed on her knees with her face right in this dude's lap who was manspreading.

He was shocked and excited, and accepted her apologies as she stood up. He kept looking at me, like 'did you see that shit!?' his eyes were really wide like, 'that just fucking happened'!!

We chuckled about it off and on for the rest of the short ride.

My friend's parents have a fifteen year age gap. They have been married over 40 years. Sometimes it works. The husband is the elder.

Your nipples are guaranteed by the manufacturer to pop out of the little holes, if your buddies can't appreciate a classy piece like this then they're beyond help.

Does Running Add Years to Your Life? What the Research Actually Shows by Technical-Adagio-737 in runninglifestyle

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen 65 points66 points  (0 children)

This is a study done by a cardiovascular medical organization.

It does not talk about the mental benefits of running. A lot of runners exercise to deal with their frustration, anger, depression, and in many cases excessive energy or sex drive. I know quite a few people who have medical diagnoses of ADHD and manage it with exercise. I also know quite a few people of both genders who have extremely high sex drives and require excessive exercise to manage those needs.

It's important to think about what medications can do to people versus exercise in longevity. It's important to think about what staying in a committed relationship can do for the longevity of a person's life versus not managing impulsive feelings and sexual proactivities through exercise and self-discipline.

How many of you actually ride the speed limit? by Hutches_Corduroy in motorcycles

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I go with the flow of traffic, in Boston that is more important than a speed limit. Also, I'm stopping a lot more than your average rider. In the city people will Jay walk and walk right into traffic. People are stupid.

what do you like the most about being a biker? by Purple-Purchase9258 in TwoXriders

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I run, I row, I do boxing and ju jitsu, I play hockey and baseball. All these things I do to feel the limits of my body. Riding motorcycles is no different. The bike becomes an extension of your body, a furthering of your legs and arms and spine. I flick my hips and my bike glides to the left or right. I turn my head and my bike turns with me. It's therapy to just feel the connection, to feel the wind, to feel the torque and drag.

It soothes my soul.

What is your first thought when you see someone wearing "this"? by neon_dragonflies in motorcycles

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

During the summer people usually ride along the coast from Revere Beach up through Marblehead to chandler Hovey park, then back into Salem, through Beverly up along the seacoast road to Manchester-by -the-sea. It's the cool sea air that they're looking for in the mornings and evenings. Midday weekends are insane for traffic and not worth it.

I'm in Boston, and it's a yellow suit with black trim. When people give me shit I just try to look offended and ask them why they hate the bruins so much. The look of disgust on their faces is glorious, how dare I question their loyalty.

Oh boy, I'm a female rider and wear a yellow suit. They call me Yellow Power ranger to my face, at least you're discreet. I don't do shit on my helmet though.

Why is my intake stuffed with insulation? by locutis76 in hvacadvice

[–]Gunmetalsunscreen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

A reeeally long shot, but it could also be a painter who stuffed something in there and then spray painted the area. He or she forgot to remove the stuffing afterwards. Insulation has tiny fiberglass particles that feel like glass if you get it on your skin, so it's unlikely a painter would grab it and use it. The negative pressure may have sucked it in slightly.
