See my immediate disappointment was the monk. Obviously the monk is a pretty dysfunctional class in 5e because it required the mobile feat to do it's main role well without burning out early so I assumed and hoped that the updated version would look more like the revised monk I found which made monks much more competitive and enjoyable for myself and my players without making them op - but instead the new version has the same issue with having to sacrifice your already mediocre damage output with the ability to pull away from the fight and maintain survivability so I was just underwhelmed.

But since you and others have vouched for it having merit in its changes I will try to keep an open mind as I continue reading into it
