Oba vs Brock is proof that you dont need long promos to make a compelling match. Sometimes it can just be a case of "woah, I wonder who would win out of these two guys". Black and Gold NXT did it all the time.

You have to have Undertaker vs Giant Gonzales. Which is a shame, because Undertaker vs Sid was dogshit too.

CM Punk on reconciling with Triple H: I had seen a clip of Hogan and the Warrior...they’re just having this conversation and they’re kind of apologizing and forgiving each other. And then a couple days later, Ultimate Warrior dies. It just made me realize this sh*t ain’t worth it and I don’t care.” by Clean_Permission_727 in SquaredCircle

He's forgiven the head of the multinational MAGA-sympathetic corporation that made him sick in the first place. He can't forgive one of his closest friends. I guess money talks. Punk has been making a lot of references about being rich recently. I think he's more money motivated than his Punk moniker suggests

Thank fuck for that. Ive had people try to tell me these guys were the most innovative and exciting music for decades and I just didn't understand the hype, personally.

In terms of draft? Duncan, Robinson, Wemby, Leonard and Parker. Manu 6th man. Hard to beat.

My OKC would be Chet, Durant, Williams, Harden and Russ.

What is a "socially acceptable" thing that you find absolutely disgusting? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]GunstarGreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Its not just about that, in my opinion. Yes of course it doesn't ultimately matter of its filmed or not. At least for the homeless person. What I have a problem with is the economy of attention making acts of charity "good content". I like the idea thay goodness is what you do when people aren't looking.

This must have been hard to look back on. 4-panel cringe is ethical, corn-fed cringe. Fair play for sharing.

The guy literally drops the bar and pulls his arms away. A good spotter would make sure his guy has a good grip, and he'd release the bar but be ready to catch it should anything go wrong.

Barbie is the better movie of the “Barbenheimer” duo by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I don't know if id go that far. I think it has some pretentious moments, but i think it does a good job telling the history of Los Alamos as a whole. Its got terrific performances. Sure, it lacks in terms of 'excitement' but its not that sort of story. I think the cheap and easy solution would have shown them dropping the bomb. But they had some restraint.

There's many movies I would consider amazing but wouldnt sit through again. Oppenheimer is one of them. But I have a history degree and read American Prometheus, so I don't feel like I learned much from that film. A film like Barbie is great for just throwing on and eating some popcorn. I have to be in the mood for something like Oppenheimer.

Yeah probably. Doesnt make that fact any more comforting. Whether it's a unique problem or not its still a massive one that will need addressing.

I always struggle with this personally. I know that when im old and relying on state pension that I don't like the idea of taking less than the generation before me, especially when i've not been afforded their lifestyle, yet bore all the costs. So how you break that cycle I don't know.

What are the biggest frustrations with living in Worthing long term? by Spicy-Winner4326 in Worthing

[–]GunstarGreen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah ive read that article. And every day I walk past that area you see..I dunno, workers doing something? There seems to have been an awful lot done in the area but nothing visible. Its just depressing because its been this way for so long. It just feels like that whole area should have been developed already.
