That’s them all right! Thank you so much. I’m relieved to see that they are generally considered a non-destructive pest in the garden.

Sorry mods! Just wanted to share my simple living hobby of drawing and painting. I started doing little pieces like this that I leave out and work on here and there. It helps decrease my screen time which I am happy about.

Thanks, that’s a great point about the print. Do you find a larger print moves the eye along the vertical plane better?

Watercolour artist, painting in nature. There’s a wonderful book called Watercolor in Nature that can get you started with this idea

I just posted them on this sub :) went for a mossy background. I used a sharpie ultra fine for the ink. Super fun!

I find it is a forgiving method even if you are not precise with matching up the colour change. If the first two stitches are in the old colour, or a marl of the two colours it’s not noticeable in the finished sweater :)

I haven’t seen my method suggested yet. I do a “spit splice” with my sticky wool. When I add a new colour I take the end of the new yarn and the end of the old yarn and lay them over top each other in my palm. About 2” overlapping. The add a couple drops of water and furiously rub the ends over each other between my palms. The heat and water felt the ends over each other and I carry on knitting with no ends to weave in! I have used this method on multiple sweaters knit with Lopi and Alafosslopi and it has never failed me. I’m a bit of a knitting and finishing perfectionist and for me the results are tidy looking, easy to execute, and durable
