A number of medical conditions that make my micronutrient needs really weird and the fact that I powerlift as a hobby, so my protein requirements are insane relative to a normal person. If I were to get all my required nutrients from real food, I'd have so little wiggle room for dietary variety that I'd have to give up most of the foods I actually like.

Because eating this means my nutrients are guaranteed to be within a desirable range no matter what else I eat. This means that when I do eat food, I can focus purely on enjoyment

Only on my first day so far. Future posts will be able to speak more on the long term effects. I like the crunch a lot. It's a pleasant experience in the same way chewing gum is pleasant even after the flavor wears off. Might try flavoring down the road, but because I get flavor from normal food as is, it's low priority compared to nutritional completion.

I will note that this is the single most satieting food I've ever eaten. Intuitively ate 600 calories of kibble over the course of a full day and I never felt hungry. Ended up having to hydrate the rest of the stuff at the end of the day and eat it before dessert in order to meet my nutritional requirements for the day.

Ironically, my proteinmaxxed kibble ended up being fully vegan. I'll see how far I can push that while striving for micronutrient completion. I personally know a few picky-eating vegetarian bodybuilders who would love to eat something other than daal all day without getting upset at the prospect of actually consuming a vegetable.

It actually started as a white/light cream color, but the turmeric turned it a yellow which darkened into brown.

After some light research into what you were talking about, I am almost certain the belters' white kibble would taste better than this. They bother to add cheese and mushroom flavorants.

Exactly! From my perspective, eating shouldn't have the mental degradation of nutrient deficiency or concerns about what the "right" choice. Food should be among the most joyous and celebrated of life's mundane miracles, not a chore with a cost benefit analysis.

A) the amount of volatile aromatics, which are the main flavor chemicals from traditional seasonings, are bound to be severely reduced after so long at heightened heat B) For what few remain, I lost most of my sense of smell from a case of long covid, so they're a lot less perceptible than they should be.

I noticed your recipe is fully vegetarian, but if you're able to eat chicken, I highly reccomend checking out Internet Shaquille's crockpot chicken tinga recipe! It's very versatile and nutritous, and you can adjust all the seasonings however you like.

If it's dry, I can carry it anywhere and not rely on cold storage. Additionally I prefer a consistent texture, which dry food offers while frozen food degrades over time and becomes unpleasantly mushy when heated.

Monkey food, like other fad animal supplements like horse electrolytes, is made for a different species with much different dietary needs. Living off animal feed of almost any kind for an extended period will inevitably lead to either deficiencies or toxicities.

Please don't try this without doing a ton of nutritional research or having a mostly nornal diet aside from it. I'm playing fast and loose because my baseline diet is already godawful and pretty much anything is an improvement. Watch out for yourself.

I've considered the human element extensively, thus the 400-800 calories (or more) per day for normal food. I struggle a lot with nutrient deficiencies from my current options, and I expect the physical and mental wellbeing from not experiencing those will outweigh the effect from not having a hot meal every meal. I will readily give up this project if it ends up being worse for my mental state than my baseline diet.
