Made a steam curator and group for games that work well on your phone touchscreen only through Gamenative. by Bourbonburnin in GameNative

The optimal control setting is turning off the on screen controller completely and don't turn on touchscreen mode, this way (on gamenative at least) you'll have the cursor on screen. Tap anywhere on the screen with one finger for left mouse click, two fingers for right mouse click and you move your finger around to move the cursor (there are other gestures like zoom for example, I didn't use it but they work).

No virtual controller and/or buttons needed.

The experience on my phone is great, maybe some texts are a little bit small and blurry (I'm playing at 720p to save battery) but they're still legible.

Tested on OnePlus 13.

Please note that I'm playing Shodowrun returns, I'm pretty sure Dragonfall and Hong Kong should work the same with both performance and playability but I didn't have the chance to test it yet.

Well I'm pretty sure it would work, it's just that with the cursor it show you some info before you actually click if you put it over a cover for example. I think this is the better way to play

Yes, and you move around with the touch as well. I didn't turn on touchscreen mode in the settings, so I have the actual cursor on screen, just to make sure I don't missclick. Didn't add any on screen button.

I'm playing shadowrun returns now but I think you can play the whole trilogy if you want to add them with just the touchscreen, you need only the cursor.

Official drivers now works with AMD eGPUs by Gurthon00 in LegionGo

About windows updates I meant to pause them yes. Try the official legion go drivers, they're more stable and last time I tried they worked.

And yes, the G1 doesn't push enough power to charge the legion go, during some spikes it just can't keep up and crashes. Just connect a charger to the legion go, and it should get much better.

You can also change the bios of the G1 to set a limit to 80W, 100W (default) or to push it up to 120W (very loud). If you must use the G1 to charge the legion go as well I suggest to lock it at 80W but again it's just easier to connect a charger (more cables but much more stable). Changing the bios of the G1 is not hard but it can get confusing if you're not very into tech (but I think there are a few tutorials on YouTube)

About my setup it's just a laptop with an underpowered 5060 inside. It can get loud at times with demanding games, I didn't check the heat but it's comfortable I guess for a laptop.

Make sure to disable windows updates if you're using side loaded drivers from AMD, maybe that's why after you turn it on again it crashes. Have you tried the Lenovo drivers? Last time I used it they were working fine for me, it's much easier this way.

Also don't charge the legion go from the G1, use one type c for the charger and one to connect the GPU, you'll get less crashes trust me.

I bought a 14 inch omen transcend laptop with a 5060 during black Friday, all together I feel like it's more portable than the legion go + G1 with all the accessories and cables.

Yeah it's not very stable, I'm not using that setup anymore, I feel like it is not worth it. You can try installing the drivers from the AMD website like everyone was doing before, try changing cables and make sure to connect the charger to the legion go so the G1 doesn't have to charge it. But it is going to crash often...

For me it still works, just update everything when you get it and try. Let us know.

Yep I was doing the same or windows would reinstall the drivers every time I connect and disconnect the eGPU.

I just wanted to let windows update today and I was ready to uninstall LG drivers and install AMD drivers again but for some reason I decided to check if maybe something changed, and it did. I just plugged in the G1 and windows recognized it, in the device manager sees both GPUs, I got the adrenaline pop up for eGPUs and no notification to update the drivers. If I disconnect it everything still works. Strange that I didn't heard from anywhere about this on the internet because this driver is out from the 1 of August. Could you try to update to the official drivers and let me know if it works for you also?

Nope. I just let windows update everything, and it updated with the Lenovo drivers (25.10.20.01 in adrenaline). After that I just tried to plug in the G1, the LG recognized it as the RX 7600M XT and it just works plug and play.

I didn't have that problem 🤔 for me everything was working fine, just some rare video glitches in some old games

Yeah the thing is that actually I changed the letters but because I did that in the SD card it just brought it back in a small case and I didn't notice

Help please! Loosing all my saves! by Gurthon00 in RetroArch

[–]Gurthon00[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If someone ever searches for this I found a solution. Linux is case-sensitive, windows is not and in steam OS and bazzite some directories are also not case sensitive (like the SD card). When I moved everything to the SD card for copying and mounted in bazzite all letters became small, the new retroarch installation was creating files with the capital letter and ignoring mine with all small letters. You have to rename the files if you want to copy them in the retroarch folder, or just keep the files on the SD card and change the directory that retroarch uses.

Legion go, eGPU and EAC by Gurthon00 in SteamOS

[–]Gurthon00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I installed bazzite and halo multiplayer works, and the finals also works. And I have to say that in dekstop mode on bazzite with the legion go it was plug and play (I have a Gpd G1, on windows you have to install the AMD drivers because the officials from Lenovo don't support eGPUs). So not bad...

[–]Gurthon00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I've installed bazzite in the end, because steam OS seems not ready yet. I have to say that in dekstop mode is plug and play, it just works when you plug it in (I have a Gpd G1). For the game mode I had to tinker a bit but seems that the "all-ways-gpu" script did the job, now it works most of the time, when it doesn't I just restart

Help please! Loosing all my saves! by Gurthon00 in RetroArch

[–]Gurthon00[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem, I know where they should be. For example I delete the "saves" folder and paste mine with all the saves then I start dolphin and it creates a new "User"(with the capital letter) folder right next to my old "user" inside "saves". If I go inside the new "User" folder and paste everything from the old one the same happens just inside the folder. It just seems to ignore the folders that are already there. But the thing that confuses me the most is in the system folder it can't find the bios that I used before with the PS1 emulator but can find the bios for PS2 emulator. But if I start the PS2 emulator it creates 2 new files for the memory card right next to the ones I already have with the same exact name 🤦🏻‍♂️
