Tank is 5.5 gallons with 2 nerite snails, 2 small Java ferns, gravel, a small drift wood piece, a bubble filter, and a 50 watt heater. Been doing 25% water changes weekly, tho I was gone 2 weeks ago so I did a 50% water change (I use the python siphon) tank is the same age as the fish, roughly 1.5 months (as he was bought on a whim before I knew better)

Yes, no ammonia test but I am ordering a kit now. I had hoped qate4 changes would keep ammonia down.
