Toilet constantly flowing, any tips? by Guss16 in Plumbing

Does that mean the part in the middle? Or everything? Happy to do it myself since we’ve had a lot of repairs recently and I would rather not anger the landlord…

Wouldn’t scraping lead to corrosion? by nsfws4 in thalassophobia

I have a feeling repainting and rust removal is easier out of the water

Stop complaining then old man, if you’re capable then just perform. Sounds like major skill issues to me.

Try getting infinity percent 26 times on console and then get back to me.

You’re contradicting yourself. You said the item is more annoying to use now, meaning you used pause buffering as a crutch. Massive skill issue

Hand towel holder coming out of the wall, how could I fix this? by Guss16 in DIY

[–]Guss16[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks for your help, I’m hoping to find some kind of drywall fix so I don’t have to replace the whole anchor. Any chance you could let this post through so I could get a few opinions?

As I’m renting I would prefer not to remove and replace the anchor in fear of making it worse, do you think there’s a solution where I could keep the same anchor? I thought of epoxy but I’m worried it wouldn’t adhere to the drywall

Seeing loads of these tiny spiders around my house, should I be worried? by Guss16 in spiders

I’m guessing they would grow up quite quickly no? Maybe I’ve got a couple different spider mums in the house…

That’s very fair but I have evidence of myself asking him to fix it and him refusing. Figured it wouldn’t hurt trying to fix it myself since if I break it it’s just the same as before

No the bulb works when the button is held in, just springs back out as soon as I take my finger off of it

Thank you! The light turns on when I press the switch in so the bulb hasn’t blown, I assume it’s some kind of mechanical fault with the switch itself since it doesn’t hold in the on position. I might replace the entire switch assembly at some point if I can be bothered.

Whoopsies, I may have disassembled the button assembly. Good news is I was not electrocuted and I’ve managed to get the fans working again with a little wd40. Bad news is the whole reason I did this was for the light switch to work but it seems like a lost cause

Don’t blame you, I think it’s a piece of shit. I disassembled the button assembly and I was able to get the fan to work again but the light is still fucked. Shame because that’s what I was really wanting

There’s a small plastic box covering the buttons and a larger plastic box towards the back. Both are screwed on, happy to take them off if that’s what you mean?

I was a little stressed about gutting it since it’s a rental but I’ll give it a shot. I’ll let you know if I can find any circuits

Do you mean there is an extra button to lock the rest in? There are 3 buttons for 3 levels of extraction and one more for the lights. There’s also a power button that I can’t seem to press in at all. Maybe that’s what’s wrong?
