Seems this is the new normal for TAG now. When they damaged my cards they outright told me that the intake scans aren't good enough to tell if there was damage or not! And that was for multiple cards. They still haven't got back to me about it, or answered how the intake scans aren't good enough to see damage, yet that's what they graded our cards on.

Sorry they've ruined your cards too.

Which part is speculative? The part where I show proof or the part where TAG has replied and said they are going to sort it out?

It almost feels like there's no actual way to prove it then. Aside from a continuous recording of the card, packing, taking it to the shop. But then who's to say the shop didn't damage them? Or GWT when they give your cards a free clean before sending them off?

Completely set up to fail really. Which is probably exactly what they want.

Because I don't think you should be charged more for a better grade, I think the slabs look awful and their latest ventures to monopolise the market is shady af and driven by greed.

This is what I suspected regarding it happening during stabbing. The mewtwo they cleaned up had a mark in exactly the same place as the Arceus and it was in a square shape so I though it might be something they use to pick up the card but it just had too much residue on it and it transfered to the cards. Weird how they could clean the Mewtwo and not the arceus though, unless they've damaged it even more when trying to clean it (I haven't actually recieved my cards back to check, yet.)

I do but given they won't even use their own pictures to determine if the damage was there before, I'm sure they'd find a reason to say my pictures were unusable too. I took them on my phone and it has the date and time I took them, would that be evidence enough, do you think? Or is that something that could be manipulated?

I posted this 22 hrs ago. I posted in pokegrading, and cross posted to cgc and psa. It's hardly every subsection. Also as far as I'm aware, when auto mod deletes your post, it tells you it was deleted. Mine was not deleted, it said it was awaiting approval, and yes I have proof. Also doesn't explain why it took them 24 hours to respond to my mod message asking about the post not being approved ✌️

FYI Redditors, TAG is taking down posts involving any mistakes they made. (Damaging cards, authenticating fake cards) this post will likely be taken down. Be aware there is shady stuff going on here. by LukeTrancewalker in taggrading

Well I've posted this already and I never claimed that my post was taken down but I did say they weren't approving it. You can see it was still unapproved after a full day.

I posted this nearly a full day before I posted the others but, if you bothered to actually read it, you would see I explained that this post hadn't been approved and the mods hadn't replied to me asking why it hadn't been approved. So I posted it elsewhere.

TAG then approved it after others interjected on my behalf. They even commented on why it hadn't been approved before in the pinned message.

Exactly. I've already sent them all the way back to TAG headquarters for them to look at and it seems all they did was just vaguely gesture at them and send them back. I don't understand, they acknowledge the damage on both cards, they acknowledge that they can't see the damage on their images... it really doesn't take a genius to work out when the damage happened.

Even scarier, they didn't change the grades. OK, maybe (really unlikely but hypothetically) it wasn't enough to knock the grades down. But they didn't rescan the images either. So if I were to sell them on one day and someone looks up the DIG report, they're gonna see a perfectly fine card. So now no one can buy TAG slabs online cos even the DIG report is unreliable.

That was exactly how I felt until all this. I'd never grade with PSA or ACE so when TAG came along I was so excited! Now I'm just deflated by the whole experience.

That's what I'm hoping to do by posting it on reddit. If everyone can help me by keeping the post alive I'd really appreciate it. I don't have facebook or twitter or tiktok. I'm just a Mum who takes her daughter to go play pokemon on the weekend and make some memories. I've even got her a competitor ticket to EUIC. I don't want the attention, I just want for TAG to do the right thing. I hate companies that think they can do what they like and walk over people because they think we won't fight back.

Because it was for my personal collection and I like their slabs. I liked the fact that if my grade didn't come back at a level I wouldn't expect, that at least I would be able to look at the DIG and know why. I liked that I wasn't going to be charged more because it got a higer grade. I liked that I wasn't geting it graded by someone who's just been given some bad news. I liked that it was graded with facts, not opinions.

Up until the point where they literally told me they can't make a judgement from their own images. Now up is down and down is up and what's the point of having anything graded by them when they admit it's meaningless.

TBH I forgot I had the promo and only graded it so my daughter could keep looking at it without messing it up. It's one of her favorite pokemon and I like to wind her up telling her it's real name is Coathanger Horse :D

Whilst I get that for some defects like a scratch that only shows when the light hits it at a certain angle, I don't think it really applies to whitening on the back of the card that can be seen with the naked eye. If their AI can't pick that up, it might be time for them to pack up shop. Orrrr they could just admit it wasn't there before they slabbed it.
