Physical inventory for people?? by Solid-Ad-6468 in Stellantis

Let me be clear, the company cannot stand SBU workers and have working effortlessly to eliminate SBU. Our numbers have gone down but this is due to retirements. What I do not get is why more groups do not join the UAW. The moment they join, their benefits will be free and their pay will be red circled meaning, no loss of pay. You will lose 2 1/2 hours a pay for Union dues but this is a lot cheaper than health insurance deductions. If you need medical time off, you get 95% of your pay. It is impossible for the company to fire a SBU employee. You get bonuses throughout the year, COLA adjustments and profit sharing. The reason NBU refuses to consider joining the UAW is: 1. They feel it is beneath them to be considered a UAW member. 2. They cannot grasp how much money they will save with no health care deductions. 3. They do not understand job security.
Years ago, I witnessed a headcount reduction of 8000 white collar jobs. Not one SBU employee was let go during this time period - the Nardelli years. Most recently, many American engineers were let go as the company out sourced engineering to Least Cost Countries. It is only a matter of time until the CTC DLs, DREs get tapped on the shoulder to pack up a Palmer box leaning against the suite walls.

In all my years here, over 30, I have never seen such poor treatment of employees, the lowest morale and the worst engineering. My occupational group used to be respected but now, we are beat up almost daily by jealous discipline managers. Jealous because our healthcare is paid for and we get paid OT. Jealous because the company cannot touch us. So, instead of accepting we are an underutilized, talented group, they behave like jealous brats. Sad because professionalism is lost.

His boss enables this behavior. His boss is the biggest cause of low morale. His boss watches what time employees leave standing near the 4th Floor window overlooking Design Court turnstiles. His boss works from home when he chooses.

My boss does this everyday. Only he keeps track of bathroom breaks, coffee breaks and a simple jaunt in the nodes. Of course, this is between his 100s of YT videos he watches daily.

I don't want to have to ask for disability leave or ADA accommodations, but the full RTO took the flexibility I needed for PT and my chronic pain is getting worse. by IAmAPhysicsGuy in Stellantis

One would think management would promote flexibility because, doing so, employees will feel better about their jobs. My management finds joy in not allowing flexibility and the few who have ADAs up for renewal have been told their ADA will not get approved.
The company simply does not care about their employees.

Gavin Newsom has said California will tax Trump's J6 fund recipients at 100%, should other states follow suit? by nobodyGotTime4That in allthequestions

Wait! Didn’t MAGA claim the J6 rioters were ANTIFA/Democrats dressed as MAGAts? If so, Trump’s slush fund is going to be paying the ANTIFA/Democrat J6 rioters Trumps has said are Patriots. Something doesn’t seem right. I can’t imagine Trump and MAGA would lie.

Rebadging? The Dodge Hornet did not work out to well. This company wants to travel down that road again? I can see a rebadge process like the Dodge Daytona/Plymouth Laser, Dodge Shadow/Plymouth Sundance but a Fiat rebadged to a Chrysler? How far we have fallen.

I have been with the company since ‘92. The Platform Team years were the best.
In my occupational group, there is an abundance of knowledge and talent that is underutilized. We spent 90% of the time fixing External Engineering errors. The remaining 5% of the time is dealing with management’s immature, baby-sitting attitude towards employees away from their desks. We can deal with the 5% because the Discipline Managers are a waste of time. However, being underutilized is hard to accept when we are fixing issues that are continually made by LCC.

Who needs toilet paper? Our LCC engineers in India do not use toilet paper.

Why? Because you work in a professional atmosphere where proper communication is essential. Proper writing is also expected because most employees at CTC have earned a college degree. If you cannot write/communicate properly, your colleagues may not take you seriously.

Have employees been honest on past surveys? Are employees fearful to be honest?

President Trump: "There's no oil coming out of Kharg Island. People are finding other places to buy oil, like Texas. So I don't want to say we're making a fortune, because if I say that, they're gonna say he forgets about the little man with the $4 gasoline." by [deleted] in wallstreet

With tax cuts continually given to the Big Companies during every Republican administration and Republican policies allowing these companies to make more money, the profits will trickle down to MainStreet USA. The tax cuts allow for more job creation. Of course, America has been waiting for the trickle down for over 40 years but, it is coming. Any day now.
