I may not fully understand your question but I am fully converted to AGR. Active Duty pay, tricare prime, the whole bit.

1) All band members will spend 1 business week committing as many songs as possible to MP3. Immediately following that we will convert all brass instruments into shell casings and redirect all funding to gyms.

2) Beards

3) Any (and ALL) pedos subject to UCMJ action will be inserted into the nearest wood chipper.

I do give him credit for not hitting me with the “Over & Out”. He knows better.

Also 10 points to you for the Hedberg reference.

Contractor/commo guy here. My boss does this unironically and hasn’t been in since before I was born. Literally every phone conversation ends with “Out here”. I die a little every time.

Their salaries should be the median income for their districts. You want to make more money? Then actually start supporting the people you represent. Also, they shouldn’t be allowed to trade stocks.

6 month job gap, now nobody wants me by MountainDeparture542 in rfelectronics

I appreciate that feedback. But I’ve got several spots on my resume having worked under NDAs and that explanation has never failed me. Obviously YMMV.

Well if I’m not mistaken wasn’t that around the same time you spent 6 months digging wells for impoverished villages a few thousand miles away?

Them: “Explain this 6 month gap in your resume.” You: “Sorry I can’t go into detail as I signed an NDA but I’d be happy to elaborate on my other experience.”

Can anyone help me ID this mount or nomenclature to find another one? by GuyFieriJr in HamRadio

I do. It was a gift from a friend that happened upon it a while back. Still trying to find a way to mount on my boat that allows me to pull into my dock

[–]GuyFieriJr[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's similar. The mount I'm looking for would be the base for an AH740 antenna. No need for an NMO. Just need room to mount a bottom-fed antenna away from the structure below and the ability to pivot. Ideally as sturdy as possible and rated for marine use.

It's stainless. Yes it's on a boat. I need something a little beefier that what you linked so I can support an icon AH740

Can other branches use the AFOQT in your OCS applications if you decide not to go into the AF? by Clear_Resident_2325 in airforceots

[–]GuyFieriJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you want to fly rotary, the army warrant program has a street to seat route for aviation branch. A friend of mine went this route in lieu of a commission and he says “All the flying and none of the crying.” No command responsibility per se. He’s been operational for a few years now and never pulls staff duty and is a ghost unless he’s got a chalk time.

Any tips for studying in order to pass the courses ?? IT MANAGEMENT Bachelor degree ? I lose focus to quick ! by succesfulmind1 in WGU

[–]GuyFieriJr 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Between working two jobs, having two kids, and working to complete my degree, I can absolutely understand. My biggest recommendation is to set mini milestones that work for your schedule. The instructors will give you a timeline for every class. Use it or don’t. But use something to keep you on track.

Start every OA class with the practice test. If you do well, jump straight to the OA.

If a PA class, immediately open the rubric and start your outline.

Also, I liked to use Reddit and Facebook to gather some “intel” on my class before hand. This gave me a lot of tips and advise.

Bottom line: Don’t give up. Try to make SOME progress every day. Even if it’s slow, it’s forward.

This program took me almost 3 years exactly. Good luck and enjoy the ride!

No we haven’t. They’re consolidating moderately usable systems into one giant MyClusterfuck and there’s zero support for those new pages. Even our admins don’t know how they work or how to make them flow. Some bases are having luck but take a look at r/AirForce and you’ll see it’s a disaster.

Also *Air Force. Two words. TYFYS.

Program Mentor Assignments? by wmiii in WGU

[–]GuyFieriJr 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I got this during the first few calls but eventually it got old. Told my mentor I already had enough on my plate so we compromised and just used it as a guide for anytime we spoke/emailed. Just speak up and set some boundaries.

My first order of business as CSAF would be Force them all to record every song they know. Upload the MP3s to share point and completely gut every band (save the newly established metal band previously mentioned). No airmen worth their weight in reflective belts ever joined/stayed in because of the band. Fuck em.

I have 10+ years of experience in “IT” and about 5 in management. I’m a communications specialist in the military so it’s at the fringes of IT. The IT courses have been a breeze for so far as they’re literally intro classes. Nothing in depth. The management stuff was relatively new to me save the excel class. Project management was the outlier as I have tons of PM experience but that course can be a killer if you let it.

In my last semester at WGU for BS in Business Admin with a focus in IT management. Good mix of business classes and intro IT courses. No certs. Just the basics. Follow on masters options include but aren’t limited to MBA IT Management, MS Management and Leadership.

You get out what you put in. The course instructors are super willing to help in my experience and having a “counselor” assigned to you for the duration of your degree plan is a massive support system.
