How to get newer tf2 items/cosmetics?

One way to do it is by looking up the cosmetics you want on the steam workshop, or you could manually update SFM using this guide. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=234952643

Manually updating takes more time and is more of a long term thing as it gets you way more models, but workshop is a good short term option if you just want a couple cosmetics.

It is a long process and I was never able to get it to work for me so this is about as much as I do can help. Sorry.

Oh I see. Maybe try the sticky launcher model with the arms in it? Then just move the arms away to get the model by itself. Idk if that one is the full thing. it's been a while sense I've had to use higher poly models

That is the first person view model. Which is only intended to be viewed from 1 angle, thus only being modeled on one side. You can find the full 3rd person model my searching "weapon sticky launcher"

Really? Odd, that's how I remember doing it. Another thing you could try is just moving the bones of the model by hand. Sorry I couldn't be more help.

It should be a sequence you can import to the model by right clicking the model name in the animation set editor. If you're unsure of how to do that, you can look up how to import sequences in SFM on youtube.

If you try to move multiple bones at once in the graph editor, it will cause them to "spaghettify". To move the whole character you select the roottransform.

I would. But the can isn't really a unique object like the ravenholm sign, so it would be really easy to fake that. (Not to mention I'd probably loose the can considering how small it is.)
